Problem appears to be solved. I picked the car up from the dealer today (21 Mar 2025). Apparently several very large re-programming updates have been issued recently, one of which was issued by Lotus just last month. It took about 5-6 hours to complete all three module programs. The boxes programed were the Integrated Head Unit (IHU), the Central Electronics Module (CEM) and the Vehicle Domain Dynamic Module (VDDM). The dealer kept the car for a few extra days and tested several times and the fault did not return after the programming was complete.

Wireless carplay seems less buggy. Used to brick regularly but so far so good, so all the updates seemed to have helped in a few areas

Brain, thanks for the update. I have scheduled a visit to the Lotus service department on 4/17 as I have the same issue.

Have had the telematics error. Took to dealer for the software fix. Issue hasn't returned in a few months.

@robrmon @bshads was this done on the same day you dropped off or did they have to keep the car for the telematics error fix? I ask, because @brainf18 dealer, it apparently took several hours which I assume means they kept the car for at least a couple of days. If you can all chime in, that would be great.

my dealer kept the car for several days to ensure the reprogramming fixed the issue

Same, they have to let it sit over night or two to make sure the error doesn’t come back

Appreciate it guys. Sounds like it can be done in 1 day, but they keep it overnight to fire up and ensure it's gone? If so, I may just ask to take it same day. Normally, I wouldn't care, but unfortunately there's only 1 dealer in the greater LA area and it's a hike for me.
