LOTUS EMIRA ─ ECU Tuning options

There’s a lot of talk about the restriction in HP due to the Toyo gear box. Lots of opinions, but little experience to back the statement. I’ve had many lotuses, and modified every one of them and tracked them extensively. There are many v6 exiges in australia with well over 500 bhp. And I’ve yet to hear of someone blowing up their gearboxes. Have heard of the occasional drive train breakage..rare..but heard of them. But no gearboxes to date. Not calling anyone a liar. Just stating my own experiences.
Are those guys running the stock clutch?

Any update on ecu tuning options other than the one thats already available?

If anyone has a used V6 Emira ECU for sale then please let me know
Might be worth asking this lot?

But I think the ECU is locked to the VIN, certainly JUBU need your VIN when programming their Syvecs ones.

Thanks, I tried those and Hills have a blue car but nobody seems to have the ECUs for sale, or in stock at least!
VIN lock is not an issue

I saw a teaser of JB4 for the Emira on their IG, hoping it’s for the i4

Has there been any updates on ECU turning for the i4s?
We all knew the I4 ecu was detuned to get to 360hp from a marketing point of view. The I4 SE is now at 400HP. I bet it will be a lot easier/ faster to get a tune for that Mercedes engine than the good old Toyota.

Problem is nobody has been able to crack the lock for more than a year already. We have sent ecu to Germany, Finland, and Holland with no luck..

Meanwhile racechip does the job but there are multiple reports installing racechip might trigger limb mode on some of the cars that have defective injectors coming from the factory.

Faulty injectors? Did Lotus already sent a recall for replacing them?

Do you have a picture of the ECU label?

Last time I contacted Komo, I got this reply on January 17:

"Many thanks for your Email and your interest in our Performance Upgrade kit. We are working on a solution which we can offer also as a shipping solution. For now can we only tune up the cars in our workshop."

This was for their 430 hp tune.

Honestly, from my experience with cars in the past and from what I could see on the Emira, it could really benefit from a true dual exhaust setup. That would undoubtedly release a decent amount of low rpm torque and some high rpm hp. The y-pipe with a cat on the back must be putting a lot of back pressure on the exhaust ports, especially combined with the 2 cats on the exhaust manifolds themselves. This would be why just removing the 3rd cat alone adds 5 hp (according to Jubu).
