Received mine, black leather with red stitching. Fits perfectly, protects an expensive key fob.

Sorry to hear you had an issue, thats not something I have heard before.

With regards to it being flimsy, again not had that feedback before so I'm hoping it's just a defective unit.

Anyone get the red leather version? Is it close to the red leather in the Emira? It doesnt look as bright in the photos.

Does anyone have a problem with accidentally opening the trunk when the key is in the pocket? I always seem to have the problem because the button is flush with the surrounding.

Does the cover help with this at all?

Not exactly that issue. I had an issue a couple of times with the windows being rolled down halfway inadvertently due to the unlock button being held down whilst the fob was in my pocket and a few times just unlocking the car whilst I was in the house.
The cover has helped with this, it's not happened since I put it on.
