I know we've all seen the giant key fob photos, but I was looking at them again today and noticed the sides appear to be painted Nimbus Grey.... It could be just some generic silver plastic, but it certainly looks Nimbus to me. Wouldn't it be a nice surprise if we all get paint matched fobs!?

I was about to say the same…. Maybe that’s not final either…. Here’s to hoping

Ok….. I have narrowed my colour down to Nimbus then Yellow with BP…… but need to see both final production cars in the flesh to decide…..so only way is to do the tour or wait till first deliveries to arrive in the summer.

A touch up paint pen in your selected FE colour and you can quickly do a matching fob. I'd already been thinking about it, prompted by the angles on the key mirroring the Emira nose boomerangs.

Well, I was wrong... Definitely no paint matched fobs for us. Nimbus fobs for all though!

I held the key in my hand. The sides are metal and silver in colour (non painted, probably plated or anodised to be bright shiny silver).

unless the mate is a hobbit, it is a BIG key.... why so big? Ive no idea, but its not ugly and maybe there is some amazing tech in it to be activated later...... I mean, there wont be of course, but as with most things to do with Lotus, we live in hope....

There’s precedence. On the early Evoras folding door mirrors were a cost option. But Lotus fitted the folding mirrors to all cars and just left off the switch. As it was a £10 part from a Ford Mondeo, as soon as that was discovered everyone had folding mirrors
