PPF QUARTER PANELS

Before my installer redoes the PPF on the rear quarter panels of my Emira, I wanted to ask if any of you have removed the intake vents to make the job more seamless.

Just wanted to know if that possible
 
In this video, the installer does not remove the intake vents. He does the whole quarter panel without any relief cuts or seams. I wish my ppf installer would have followed his lead here.

I saw that. I want my film to go underneath the vents .

I would be curious to see a follow-up on the car to see how those extra tight/stretchy areas held up or if they pulled up over time. How are your relief cuts?

That’s why I want to take the vents out so I’m not going to stretch out that much film . I curious if someone did it the way I wanted to do it

You would have join lines then because more than one sheet of ppf would need to be used.
 
Here are some close up photos of the vents. Wrapped and tucked on both sides.
