Radio has a mind of its own upon startup?

I’m an audiophile but haven’t yet listened to anything on the audio system because all I want to hear while I’m driving this thing are the glorious mechanicals of the supercharged 6 and shifter. About half the time, on startup, the radio comes on at medium-low volume. I put the volume back to zero and that’s where it stays til I park, but that doesn’t prevent it from randomly coming on again on startup. Anyone else experience that (or am I missing something)?
