Removal of fugly warning stickers on Sun Visors?

Interesting, I had gotten mine off a while back, but it took me hours and there is still a slight residue. I honestly thought I was going to ruin the Alcantara, but that stuff is tough. The U.S. stickers have been much harder to remove.

Did you receive your car recently? Yous should post some pictures.
Yes just picked it up 2 weeks ago. It did take a little finesse but I was super pleased that there was zero residue.

I drenched rubbing alcohol on a 2ply paper towel and held up to the sticker for 3-5 minutes. Then I got a pair of tweezers and started trying to pull up the corner. It took a while but when I was able to pull it up, big chunks came off and it left zero residue. I feel like that if you hold the drenched paper towel too long it will leave residue.
And I just kept repeating till the entire sticker was removed

Removal can be done on US visor stickers. I soaked sticker with rubbing alcohol papertowel for about 15-20 minutes. Sticker was relatively easy to remove. Left residual adhesive but using my finger(nail) in alcohol paper towel, i was able to remove adhesive. End result looked good enough as cabin is pretty dark so would be hard to see any residual rectangle. I might try picking up some alcanatara cleaner from Amazon and brush it up but will be good for now. 😊

That does look good and similar to how mine turned out, however mine took hours to remove, and I used to rubbing alcohol, and then tried denatured alcohol. I even bagged mine for a while to let it soak in. The stickers were not affected at all by just soaking them for a while. I have done that with other cars in the past (Porsche) and they did come right off.

If your car is new, or recently acquired, then something has changed on the newer visors here in the U.S. Good thing if so.

I agree. There are quite different levels of difficulties in removing those labels reported here. I suspect that it may have to do with when and how the labels were applied during the Emira’s build as our experiences with their removal (or attempted removal) has been Very different . I had tried a number of products, including the use of rubbing alcohol, to little or no avail as the labels just refuse to come off of my visors.

This….

Precisely why I decided to cover mine. (I’ve done several P-cars with this method, but my Emira visors were completely fused into the Alcantara…no way I would have gotten a good result.

I get the feeling that I’ll end up having to do the same thing. Coincidentally, what did you get charged? Did you have it done at a reupholstering shop?

I covered just the stickers with a small piece of Alcantara…see post #48 for pics…
