Hi all,

I'm not sure why I didn't notice this in my old car, but there seems to be lots of play with the shifter even when in gear.

For example, if I put the car into first, the shifter can wobble about 5mm in any direction while still in gear. I noticed it does this in other gears as well.

Can this be tightened so that when I put it into any gear, there's little to no play?

Thanks!

I've had a different experience. The shifter feels very solid when in gear with nearly zero play left to right. However, I can freely move it front to back a few mm. Also curious about options to tighten up. Although I'm plenty happy with it as is.

I get fore and aft play, but nothing side to side. Did insurance get you a new car already?

yes I had a check for the full value of my policy minus the deductible within 14 days from inspection
Nice. How was getting a replacement? Given the timeline I gather you didn’t order a new one. Were you able to get a comparable spec? Same price?

I had the same issue. It also comes with shifter cable rattling due to the excessive play in gear 5 and 6.
