Anyone else’s shifter linkage cable popped out like mine?
Fortunately I was able to diagnose and temporarily resolved this by putting it back, but as you can see the thread is stripped, seems to be defective from the factory or incorrect installation.
When the shifter linkage popped out, I was stuck in 4th gear, I had to limp it back home, riding the clutch just to get it moving. Going to call my local dealer (Orlando Florida) tomorrow to get this resolved. It’s likely it would happen again given the thread is stripped.
Not sure if this is a common issue, but it could be a disaster if I was on a highway etc…
