Not a big spender on luxury watches, but I do enjoy my personal collection of mostly Nixons. Been a long time fan of their watches and a stellar customer service experience ~20 years ago kept me loyal to the brand.

Just picked up my first Seiko too:

Once you start with Seiko you have opened Pandoras Box

+1 for the Seikos! Incredible watches, still lurking for a Tuna, but hard to find at reasonable prices these days.

As a result of waiting for my Emira for such a long time, I now have nothing left to say about cars. Therefore I thought I’d head over here to the watch section while I wait.

Small collection with the above being one of the more interesting pieces.

I was in a pub in Portsmouth (where I don’t live) searching online for this exact watch having lost out in a recent auction. I found only one for sale in the UK - in the antique shop next door. Some coincidence. Had to buy it.

Interestingly (or not) I bought a luxury watch online this week.
I then went into a watch store on a whim the day after and the experience was noticeably night and day. The additional feel good factor of going into store was tangible. Without the 'experience' human interaction from fellow enthusiasts and perceived alignment of values to the brand, the buying of luxury goods will just become the same as going out to buy a loaf of bread....
No customer experience. No luxury brand.
And did you buy a watch from the store? If not, tut tut @Leonard we will only keep our physical stores which provide the interaction with product and person if we actually buy from them, not just say that the experience is better in them!
Sorry to single you out... But it is rant day😜.
About 10 years ago I went to a sports shop to look at tennis rackets. Decided on the one I liked and then left intending to buy it on line. I got half way home and realised my winge above. I turned around and bought them from the store! Very self righteous 🤣.
The shop. Has since shut down anyway but hey ho, did my bit to help them for a while!

This is my favourite watch... its a FOREVER watch as I bought it for a sefl drive safari trip to Africa so I didn't get my arm taken off. One of my best life memories are attached to this purchase! Incredible country and resilient people.

I buy consumables online all the time, but any vaguely luxury good I buy instore and local if available 👍

Watches are all about creating memories (or should be). Nice. Sounds like a story I need to hear over a beer 🍻

Do like the classic stuff. Some really interesting pieces out there. Thats cool 😎

Nice! I personally think it wears rather bit too large / thick for my wrist, otherwise I'd be tempted. But the price seems reasonable (in todays market). I'm waiting for a 126600 as I prefer the red writing and slightly smaller size.
I have an unworn 126600 which would consider selling if interested. Pic attached. Great watch but have never worn and too similar to my GMT.

@DAMOH Interesting! Can you DM me what you would like to have for it?

And indepently, just to explain my slightly wrong statement of the new 126600 being "smaller" than the 116600: The proportions of the lugs should be slightly different (wider) on the 126600 so it looks a bit more proportional in comparison to the older 116600. But it is not smaller. It was bugging me that I left a false statement before 😅😇
