UK deposit to order checkout to delivery process

No it's a V6 FE. And no, I've had no indication of when I'll need to pay the final deposit... been expecting a call for the past few months. Perhaps this just means that while they're still telling me May they already know it will be August, idk...

I would double check with your dealer to confirm the spec isn't locked in already!

Hmmm getting concerned now. The e-mail confirming May build was November 24... e-mail confirming I can still make changes with no impact to build date was from Louts CS on 3 January...

That sounds recent but I would double check anyway.

My delivery date is 23rd Jan, (checkout email 22/12) and received invoice yesterday. Invoice no. 100

I completed my checkout 21st November, no invoice, no delivery date, only info is it has been at PDI for 6 weeks!!!

That's a shocker. Not just Lotus this happens to though.
Hate any delays though over and above the norm. Always makes me wonder what the heck is wrong with my car!

That's my big worry, what is wrong with the car and how much trouble will I have with it. My first Evora 400 spent months off the road in its first 6 months and it wasn;t until I asked for my money back that Lotus sent 2 engineers to fix it, it took them 2 days.

Emailed CS couple of days ago asking if my January build is still happening, again no reply. I was the 9th July 21 deposit. Had my enhance and protect email on the 12.12.22 and hadn’t heard anything. Last update was a jan build Feb delivery. Called up CS earlier this week and was told I was now Feb build and March delivery. Not holding out much hope though.

This is pretty much me also, 9th deposit, email 9th December, told by CS that my Jan build may slip a few weeks into early Feb. Also zero faith this will happen

Mmmm, I’m starting to give up, these cars are like unicorns! I would just like someone to ring and say it on or not, lotus are now acting like our politicians, don’t need to say more in this point

last i heard jan build, feb delivery.
didnt believe it then so havent bothered to chase.
if i stay 'in' then march delivery suits me better anyway

I was in the same boat (Jan/Feb) so phoned up CS on Monday - told March production/April delivery, although yet to receive email confirmation. Like you, it suits me well.

I believe the car has been in the TDI/Logistics loop for 3 weeks.

Lotus cannot tell me if the delay is TDI or delivery date delay related.
I have not had any further correspondence informing me of any delay into February but I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't really think about the car anymore except when I refresh the Whats-New page on this forum.

Apparently the delay is due to the cars needing some updates. Probably better be delayed now than needing retro work done later

Totally agree - I don’t believe a word that they say now after being delayed yet again today by another month. I had to chase LCS to find out, they have never contacted me to let me know the bad news.

Im also still waiting for a reply from CS on my enquiry email Monday or basically anything at all. If we are waiting for cars what chance do anyone have if they are ordering now
