I was taking a look at the website https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/ and thought the figures on there about the Emira could be of interest. Figures are taken from official DVLA statistics and are roughly a quarter out of date, so the most recent information is up to the end of Q2 2024. Not all registrations will equal sales as this will include cars such as those owned by Lotus (development cars, press fleet etc).
So as of Q2 2024:
For any non-Brits, SORN is 'Statutory Off Road Notification' which means you've notified the DVLA that the car has been taken off the road and so doesn't require the annual road tax to be paid.
So as of Q2 2024:
- There had been 1431 all time Emira registrations of which:
- 1300 were taxed and 41 were on SORN, leaving 90 unaccounted for
- 1041 (73%) were V6 FE, 205 (14%) were i4 FE and 185 (13%) were V6 FE Auto
- 91 were registered in 2022, 1060 were registered in 2023 and 280 were registered in first half of 2024
- Of the 1300 taxed there were:
- 1041 V6 FE
- 201 i4 FE
- 171 V6 FE Auto
- Of the 41 SORN there were:
- 38 V6 FE
- 2 V6 FE Auto
- 1 i4 FE
For any non-Brits, SORN is 'Statutory Off Road Notification' which means you've notified the DVLA that the car has been taken off the road and so doesn't require the annual road tax to be paid.
