USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Sorry, what? A 2025 car has to be made by January 2024? Where does that requirement come from?
I quickly updated my post above. But you snuck in before. I misread your post.

Once initial production is stabilised Lotus have historically, made factory/production line model year changes around September each year and list changes these against VIN numbers in the Service Notes - which makes sense in most territories (if not the USA) and especially where registration date (which is exposed on standard registration plates in many countries - and in 6-month blocks in the UK) is a higher driver of value than model year.....

I just received confirmation from the GM at Bellevue:
  • FE 1.0 expected anytime from Nov to Jan.
  • EPA certification is done
  • CARB not done, still waiting for its approval
I live in PNW region which are all CARB states. So I my guess is my delivery date will be in Feb, 2024.

You are correct about EPA certification
CARB certification is hopefully / expected to be approved next month

Living in a non-CARB state, I’m willing to take an early allocation that was headed to west coast. Seneca with gray, but open to Magma/black.

Soooo... any dealer confirmations other than Bellevue?
I called my dealer this morning, Lotus of Naples / Naples Motorsports. They had not heard any news on anything being shipping or put on a boat, however he was told by lotus last week, that they have started production and do expect delivery to clients "meaning us" December/ January.

I sent an email to mine (Lotus of Austin/Hitech Motors) but nothing yet. They have been extremely poor so far so I don't expect them to have any information. They are probably finding out stuff after we do.

I know someone that has a Seneca FE1.0 that is going to sell it as they’re moving out of the country (go figure things change in years).

Spoke with my dealer (summit nj). Stated no new information at all. Delivery expected to start in Dec. I’m part of group 2.

There are four groups. So I’m guessing if it’s a Dec-Jan delivery window every 2 weeks would roughly be a delivery window. So the 3rd-4th week of Dec I might see my vehicle (group 2)

Dec 1-15 group 1
Dec 16-31 group 2
Jan 1-15 group 3
Jan 16-31 group 4

This is all pure guess and speculation. My experience from direct communication tells me I’ll be told it’ll be delivered in June 2025. Lol 😂

You should ask them about this article lol

I think it can slightly impact resale value as the perception is that it's "newer". Can't think of another advantage.
It would also push out a year further before you need to get your first smog check.

Anyone ever change their state inspection month? I'd rather not have my Emira due for inspection every winter.
