USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Awesome, let us know what they tell you please!
Here is the response....no confirmation, and threw out another possibility.. He is referring to Lotus US when mentioning "getting our rep to divulge". However, I do know he is in regular contact with the UK as well..

Soooo... any dealer confirmations other than Bellevue?
I pinged Bellevue again to ask about why there hadn't been a big announcement from Lotus USA about such big news. (first cars delivered in 2 years to US dealers would seem to merit some celebration!) He didn't know, but mentioned that the only reason they had the info was that they'd reached out to their dealer rep for an update. So I'd encourage others to apply whatever pressure they can at other dealerships to do the same thing. Sure would feel more confident with more data points.

I've tried Tony at Gator a handful of times the past two days, but it goes right to VM. Either he's out of pocket or he doesn't want to answer because he doesn't have info. :D

I suppose not having the car is technically an issue. Every time I go into my garage I get the “error 404- your Emira doesn’t exist” code.

Every time I go in my garage I see a reminder of the 2+ year rollercoaster of Emira emotions I endured. 😂 But I also see some bright green happiness that washed away those previous mixed emotions and replaced them with a renewed sense of Emira excitement. Especially since @24EmiraUS will soon have his and lives just 5 miles away! 😁

Well hopefully their dealer rep really knew what was going on and not looking at bad info.

Not certain my heart can take the fluctuating highs and lows of this thread! Can we get a group buy for Xanax?

That's odd. I was certain it was a US spec
T-shirt spotted on the assembly line the other day.
I'm a big of a Z-car fan as you'll find having owned and driven almost them almos exclusively over my life including a '72 240Z, '90 300ZX Coupe, '95 300ZX 2+2, '95 300ZX-TT, 2010 3Z0Z 40thAE & current 2016 370Z Nismo.
I had given up on Nissan ever releasing the new Z, but was excited when it was announced; but have only been disappointed with each bit of news since. The local Drive Exotica purchased one for track rental and promptly dumped it within a month because the chassis because it drives more like a Mustang with excessive understeer. When Nissan revealed the Nismo specs, there was some hope; but even at $65K is overpriced and it is only being offered in automatic. Nissan has lost their way and I have no interest in it whatsoever. There are so many better alternatives in this price range that it's a non-starter even for loyal Z-car owners.

A while ago I remember forum members here talking about how cargo ship manifests were apparently a matter of public record and how all you needed to do was go to a certain website that allowed you to query by boat / port / etc., and it would list out all the contents of the ship(s) in question.

Does anyone remember these posts, or which websites they referred to?

Who going to Electric SUV showing in Detroit this week and asking about Emira updates after glancing at the SUV

Any other dealership confirm the boat story?

Yes, but that data is delayed for free public access. So we likely won't be able to see that data until the cars are already in the US.
