Thank you. My other thought is just take delivery of it and drive the piss out of it while I can then sell for win, lose, or draw.
From a current Toyota MR2 (ZZW30/MR-S) Spyder owner with degenerating discs to a former MR2 Turbo (SW20) owner, I think you should keep it and drive it for a bit. If and when you want to sell it, I'll be ready to take it off your hands.

But can you imagine not having a chance to at least take it through ACH to Saddle in the middle of the week? Or maybe Azusa during early Saturday morning as the sun rises? With the colder January temperatures about to come through, the Super Charger will be able to get the best air Southern California mountain passes have to offer.

OK - how many times. a day checking this post would be considered-obsessive '??? (Asking for a friend)
On the other side, when we all have our cars, nobody will ever check this thread..... That makes me feel sad. It is almost like we are a community supporting each other, but soon we may not need it anymore.

I rather see a NA modifications thread grow more than this one anymore. I want Emira to become a bada#$ in the car community like modded GTR's and TT lambs.

Yeah once I take delivery I guess I'll have to revert back to bitching about the government full-time. :(

When do us Canadians start getting deliveries?
I put $5k back in Oct 2022 Gentry Lane Toronto and haven't had any form of communication from anyone yet.

It is no longer clear to me whether the "700 FE 1.0" cars included some for Canada. Have you guys been tracking this? If so, then I would expect CA to go in lockstep with US.

Canadian F/E 1.0 arrives the same time as US. We receive about 10% of total US allocations to Canada. So for the first 700 we got 70. Looks like there was more F/E 2.0's than 1.0's, but still a small amount compared to south of the border. Which makes sense, Porsche is similar in that we receive 10% of the 911's/718's coming to North America. We also have about 10% of the dealer network the US has. (50 vs 5)

With that said I deposited in September 2021 and still have not been called for an allocation. IMO - the Canadian market is an after thought to Lotus Cars USA (head office in Michigan), which is who we operate under and they allot the allocations to the dealers in Canada. I have read on here depositors from 6-12 months ago that got called to receive a 2.0 F/E in the US at some dealers. Meanwhile many Canadian depositors have been waiting 2+ years without getting a call. Which means Lotus Cars USA is not distributing allocations to dealers based on the timing of customer deposits / or size of wait lists. So if there are extra allocations coming to North America, it is safe to assume the US market will be priority. I don't think I can fault the dealers, as I am sure they would like to make as much money as possible and sell the whole waitlist.

I am hopeful that all orders placed before 2023 (2021-2022) will receive an allocation by Q2 2024. Might be a base or an F/E 2.0. From what I hear, there may be a few more months of F/E 2.0 being handed out until January 2024 / when the base configurator finally goes live. I have also heard that there has been a fair amount of cancellations off the lists with very few being added. Makes sense, the Canadian economy is doing a bit worse than the US at the moment.

I like that, but with age comes the MORE you have to lose than when we were young, dumb, and full of...
What the poem is trying to say is: "We're here for a good time, not a long time. So have a good time — the sun can't shine every day". ;)

I've had my plate sitting in a file cabinet at my local DMV for almost 2 years now waiting to be assigned.
