CARB is California regulated legislation, not federal…A federal shutdown will not impact the CARB approval process.Yes as there will be no one working if there is a shut down
Don't worry, surely someone will figure out how to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.I posted this on March 13, 2023 and re-sharing not because I want to be right, but hoping Lotus will prove me wrong. 48 days left...
As a fat man, I'm glad for that, personally.Thankfully the Emira seats don't require you go on a diet.
Thanks did not know that.CARB is California regulated legislation, not federal…A federal shutdown will not impact the CARB approval process.

Behold the first NA build! They only need to deliver one customer car! If Lotus of US were smart, they'd make a big scene out of it too. Remember those photos of the China dealer delivering theirs with all the flowers?
Ha ha! Since the photo is reversed, I’d say that is a right-hand drive car!
I test drove a V6 manual a couple of weeks ago in Scottsdale. Loved the car!Has anyone on this thread actually been able to demo one of the cars in the US? very interested to hear your feedback and comments. I live in South Florida. Any idea's on how to go about finding what dealers are running demo's in advanced. My dealer I reserved from doesn't seem to know much about how to find demo's. I wouldn't be opposed to flying out to one to demo one of them.
Ah good ol' Mr. Eldniw Ttam
Many of us test drove the car a year ago when the original demos toured the US…only FE 1 depositors were allowed to test drive the car. Myself and others posted in a thread devoted to driving impressions. It occurs to me that "delivered" seems quite amorphous. For example, if the units are "delivered" to a NA port it would be elementary to declare "..but not delivered to dealers". Furthermore, if by happenstance said vehicles are "delivered" to the NA dealers, again a very perceptible response "..but not to clientele". The culmination of the aforementioned statement would therefore be veracious, regardless of any outcome, short of the end patron.. I'm sure you have probably seem this already, by the automatic parking brake engagement can be deactivated in the settings..hope this helps..Many of us test drove the car a year ago when the original demos toured the US…only FE 1 depositors were allowed to test drive the car. I just finished my demo drive…Overall, it is an 8 out of 10. One troubling potential deal-breaker: The f-ing parking break goes on automatically when you turn the car off (in any mode, including Track)! I do a lot of track time, and the last thing I need is for the calipers and rotors to seize together because the parking break applied automatically to hot rotors.
Other than that, a few miscellaneous ramblings:
• the steering was great, very well weighted
• the gear shift had very short throws
• the engagement point for the clutch felt a bit high, but it’s a non-issue and something you get used to in your own car
• excellent acceleration, the supercharger takes car of business above 3500 RPM
• Sport chassis was great…soaks up bumps as well as any Evora (and better than my BMW 1M and Cayman)
• no heated seats, but the seats were quite good
• the center air vents are really low…if you like fresh air on your face when the windows are closed, you are out of luck…
• fit and finish was excellent
• when you put the car in reverse, the passenger mirror drops to see the curb
• the brakes have a lot of initial bite
I have size 11 (US) shoes (45 EU) and the space in the footwell was adequate. Average height, so no problem with the seats.
Of the cars I have now or had over the last ten years, it isn’t as good as my 2016 Cayman GT4 - but it is better than the Shelby GT350 (except for exhaust sound) I sold a few years ago. It kills the Alfa 4C and Elise, and has a lot more “theater” than a run-of-mill 911.
Yes, thanks. I looked it up right after posting my thoughts.I'm sure you have probably seem this already, by the automatic parking brake engagement can be deactivated in the settings..hope this helps..

One of my biggest gripes with the car is the electronic parking brake and associated hill hold feature. Good to know the automatic parking brake can be turned offYes, thanks. I looked it up right after posting my thoughts.

You are overlooking a 'sympathy strike' as a show of solidarity.CARB is California regulated legislation, not federal…A federal shutdown will not impact the CARB approval process.
