I know that there have got to be numerous people at the factory, especially those in charge of production and logistics that could relay some info……but they must have their orders to say nothing!

British pride thing and they simply do not care about USA or Canada people. They will get your money or dealers money no matter how much they ignore and mis-manage basic business sense

Silver lining: the uniform silence is a sign of operational maturity, that they can establish a policy and maintain it consistently over a long period of time. Remember that quality assurance is largely about uniformity and consistency, rather than producing products/services that people actually want.

Correct. It's like if Scotland had its own emissions standards that were more stringent than those in England, but auto companies could only import cars on a general basis to the UK. In order for those cars to be legal across the whole UK market, they must conform to all standards applicable anywhere within it.
