What are you driving until the Emira arrives?

BBR extract:
The addition of an uprated clutch assembly allied with tried and tested BBR performance hardware enables our stage two conversion to cross the magic 300bhp barrier reliably whilst still maintaining (engine safe) low boost pressures.

Dyno testing has shown that the BBR Stage Two Mazda MX-5 turbo conversion produces a stunning 302bhp at 7350rpm with a mighty 254lb.ft of torque available at 4950rpm and an incredible 270bhp at the rear wheels on 2.0-litre models. These figures are achieved whilst still running very low and safe boost pressures of 0.65bar (9-10psi). In a car weighing around 1100 kilos, BBR Stage Two turbo conversion catapults the MX-5 firmly into supercar territory. On a 1.8-litre models, the figures are 264bhp and 232lb.ft of torque, endowing even the smaller engined MX-5 with fearsome pace.

Only time will tell but the 300BHP upgrade from 250 was carried out 2 years and a couple of thousand miles ago, the clutch was upgraded and I believe the engine is good for around 360HP. Puts a massive smile on your face in 1st, 2nd and third, reminds me I need to stop working and go for a spin, have just ordered a new plate for it "S300BBR" (S as in MX-5 Sport).
Love it! Enjoy

Welcome to the forum. There's a pretty diverse group of people on here, that's true! Feel free to post over in the introductions forum to say hi and give some background. Lots of interesting clips on your YouTube channel, including an Emira walkaround people may not have seen

Thanks - Haven't touched a forum in quite a while, but figured I'll probably need to stay in the loop as I get up to speed on the platform.

I guess in the spirit of staying on topic in this thread. Current cars

~750whp single turbo 335i
E36 M3 (watered down US SPEC before I get slapped)
NA SPEC Miata
LR2 (Freelander 2 for you UK folk) for the doggo and outdoorsy stuff.

I have a 944 beached somewhere that was supposed to be turned into a drift car, but I dropped that off >3 years ago and nothing has been done so can't count that :)

Only "proper" UK based vehicle I've had was on 2 wheels - Triumph Daytona 675, but sadly that was stolen. Miss that triple for sure.

Bought a Morgan Aero 8 (at a good price) to tide me over until i4 arrives.
I think it will then be interesting to see which stays and which goes
Handling on the Morgan is very good (series 3 mini headlight car) and a manual v8 sportscar is quite a satisfying package, and different enough from my Elise (that is staying anyway)
Emira "should" be the keeper, but only evora I drove was a first edition and that did not get me hankering after one.

Very nice, pictures?
Strangely enough I'm off for a Morgan factor tour in 3 hours 😁

not been to the factory (yet). Only think that concerns me with Morgans are some of the owners. There is a trad type

really disappointed they did not make the EV3

Got it a few weeks ago...30th Anniversary Mx5, lowered on Eibach springs from factory. I've installed an Ulter exhaust with electronic valve control and the diffuser. Also had Royal customise the steering wheel with Alcantara and Nappa. So happy with the wheel I'll get them to do something similar with the Emira. As expected, with 184 ponies, just over a ton and a naughty exhaust it's been a lot of fun so far

Just back from a trip to Goodwood in my RS5. First and last track day in it and didn’t miss a beat. Lotus Exige spotted also and wonder if a forum member ? Didn’t see it on track although I’m sure it would leave the Audi for dead.

Driving a Tesla Model 3 Performance for the last 18 months. Still have the Audi A6L (China version), which the wife now uses. The M3P is a beast for a daily that wasn’t expensive (good value in China).

My cool car is back in the UK, in storage (for last 15 years….). It’s a 95 R33 GTR. Not the best of pics, looks better in the flesh. In it’s day it was a beast. Over 8000rpm redline, mildly tuned to about 400bhp (not bad for a 27 yo car) with aftermarket electronically adjustable coil overs (installed 16 years ago, Lotus;) ). I do miss it and no plans to sell it.

If you do, be sure to send a message to the "worst.spec" Instagram account introducing yourself! ;)
Spent 5 hours yesterday chatting with owners and vendors. I like the C8, really loved how it drove, like 9 out of 10 as I’d use the car (GT) but it’s big (I think my TT is big) and some angles it looks a bit awkward. Underway it’s much prettier but when I stare at it over and over, it’s just a bit much. I’m buying an Emira (y)
