That’s the one!!! It’s such a small change with an eye catching impact.Like this on the Evora GT:

I’m in the Uk and flippin hate front number plates , how good does that look !1st mod done! View attachment 20791
That could be your first mod! Moar pedals! Not enough pedals.
We have them in TX as well. Lotus isn’t too well known of a brand around where I live so I’m just going to say it doesn’t have a place for it and make up some nonsense about can’t drill into it because of some engineering stuffI’m in the Uk and flippin hate front number plates , how good does that look !
I’ve got the plate in the trunk (boot). If I get asked I’m going to say I bumped it parking and it fell off… I didn’t have one on my last nice car for over a year and never got stopped / fined or even asked about it.We have them in TX as well. What have you done about the drill holes in the bumper?I’ve got the plate in the trunk (boot). If I get asked I’m going to say I bumped it parking and it fell off… I didn’t have one on my last nice car for over a year and never got stopped / fined or even asked about it.
Left them for now. The car is having front end PPF installed in 10 days time. They have a guy who should be able to do a very small “smart repair”… then once the film is over that you shouldn’t be able to see anything… at least that’s my plan! What have you done about the drill holes in the bumper?
I really want to remove my front plate when I get the car as it makes the front end far more slick but I think I'd have to fill the holes for OCD purposesLeft them for now. I had thought about putting very small black rubber bungs designed for calling off thin tubes (from eBay) in the holes otherwise!!!!
When I was on the tour, they said they will be changing the Lotus badge from Yellow/green to black/grey to modernise the logo. Didn’t indicate exactly when it would be brought in but some time in 2023. I would prefer black ones too, so hopefully before my March delivery.PPF, third cat delete, change the nose and wheel Lotus badges over to the black ones (Hethel Yellow car with full black pack).
I'm expecting 3rd cat delete will be similar to the Evora, so you just need to get a "straight pipe" from somewhere like Larini (or GRP in the US) and then have a mechanic swap the sections over. It's doable DIY if you have some basic skills, or any Lotus dealer like Bell & Colvill or a specialist indie like Back On Track can do it. From memory my Evora was about £300-400 for the part and 1-2 hours labour. When I was on the tour, they said they will be changing the Lotus badge from Yellow/green to black/grey to modernise the logo. Do you have an idea of how much it cost and where you will be getting 3rd car delete done Tom? I’m Surrey based, so hoping I can maybe use a few of your contacts…..
Keen to hear how your installer gets on with ppf front end. I have never had ppf before and I feel that it is too costly (plus yellowing, potential damage on removal etc) to do the whole car but I am minded to ppf the front bumper, bonnet and sills.Left them for now. You can keep the cat to reverse the mod at a later date. At the moment the scrap value of the precious metals in the cat mean they are worth £200-300, so if you don't keep it you can offset the cost of the change.
Also might be a good idea to keep it to swap back in if you plan on doing track days. You can keep the cat to reverse the mod at a later date. At the moment the scrap value of the precious metals in the cat mean they are worth £200-300, so if you don't keep it you can offset the cost of the change.
