What's the first mod you did or plan to do for your Emira?

Hm... so even the first Emiras coming to North America this year will be MY2024. I wonder what badges they'll have.
I inquired with my dealer/parts to see if I could get a yellow set to be safe.

I would love black/silver logos. I have no desire for the yellow logos and planned on covering them up.

Mods,

I've taken the front plate off, and temporarily fitted a shorter front plate (but working on a magnetic mount for it so I can take it off as and when needed).

Black LOTUS lettering on the rear - official Lotus parts too.

Ceramic coated the car, but don't think that counts as a mod

Plenty info of all of these on my log / diary thread.

What's next:

Engine tuning
Caliper repainting maybe
Rear spacers maybe
Tailpipes I'd like these more silver / gloss
3rd cat delete

I assume heat gun and floss to get the stock silver letters off and then do your best to line up the new ones? This gives me anxiety just thinking about trying that. I have no problem taking the emblems off, but lining up the news ones stresses me out!

The trick is to make a template whilst the letters are still on the car. Some folks use painters tape to build up around the letters and others use cardboard. I'm sure Lotus has a $10 plastic jig for this.. wouldn't it be great if that came with the replacement badging?

No need to create anything, the replacement lettering from Lotus came in the plastic jig, so it all lined up perfectly. 10min job to replace the silver for the Black - pics on my instagram. Definitely suits the black lettering better I think.

Oh perfect, well there you go!

Do you know if they are selling the black exhaust finishers too? This might sway me to change my upper black pack spec.... 🤔

I would think they would!

I'm curious about pricing for both black lettering and black tailpipe finishers. The titanium finishers look like they need a good polish.

PPF, Investigate removing the start/stop switch cover switch if its easy to do. Either get a replacement and paint it black (so more subtle) or just remove entirely.

Has anybody mentioned getting rid of the netting around the gear shift?

Yes, I am considering removing that grill and possibly even the shift boot. It depends how things are attached and if it can be done cleanly. I wouldn't mind paint matching the trim around the shifter. I just need to get my hands on one to start tinkering.

The Evora had two catalytic converters per bank, presumably the V6 Emira is the same. Which is the '3rd Cat'?

The 3rd cat is in the later section just before the silencer. Picture and more info here:

I think one of these would be nice
