Why the engine is not centred?

Hi all, I'm sure lot of you already know the answer since it comes from the evora but since I'm a newbie..... why the engine is not centred?

I mean, if you look from behind it is more on the right side, shouldn't be best if it was exactly in the middle to balance the weights?

It's a tranverse engine placement. Fits in tighter space. Here is a front engine image... but essential idea is the same.
