I’ve just had both doors replaced.
Doors ordered in early October 2024, and they were delivered in the first week of March.
The dealer then took care of everything, including the full disassembly, getting the doors painted, and assembling everything. They also performed a full service, oil...
Hi
can you check the Short Term Fuel Trims (%) when idle for 1-2min?
In my case I had water ingress in the ECU which shorted out and destroyed one lambda sensor on bank 2, same position, each time I washed my car or got into heavy rain. Solution was some aftermarket sealing and waterproofing by...
Wash that lady like there's no tomorrow. If something breaks let them figure it out under warranty. Otherwise rain will do it for you. It's not a one off hypercar garage queen.
The lights fog up and that's okay as long as you don't see any standing water in there. I think it's even mentioned...
Get them checked by your dealer. Mine were destroyed by water ingress near the ECU.
You can drive like this. The car should detect something wrong and switch to open loop. If it acts up or has resistant throttle response you can try giving wide throttle input and "power through". In my case...
Try „CarScanner" from the AppStore.
Go to Live Data -> Combined -> Deselect all (top right button), search for O2 Voltage and enable both. Press OK to plot a graph.
Zoom out a little. Let the car idle, AirCon off. Don’t touch the gas. Let the car run 5 minutes or something before. About one...
Depends on if your dealer is one of the friendly or stick to the rules kind. Officially you'll at least put a "who is at fault" on the table if you keep it modified.
Various text from Lotus side suggest any modification will void all warranty - but this is gonna be hard to argue and actually...
Trunk? You talking about the built in potato baker?
I don't think isolating is very feasible. Electronics go behind the seat for me. Wait for the colder days when you get into your nice warm jacket!
Love to hear that! Maybe they did actually fix most of the issues on the US cars by now. The water diverter is for the AC, so good thing you have that fitted since it's water ingress problem #1.
I don’t have specific answers for why the ECM seemed to work "just fine" even with water ingress...
As per Porter: "The Engine Control Module sits in the left side of the engine bay tucked forward of and above the airbox inlet."
The positioning is strategic and it shouldn't be exposed to high amounts of water there, but still happened on mine. I drove in pouring rain and washed it using a...
They are not too tight. The ECU gets drowned in water when washing. This shorts out "the connector" / pins whatever of the lambda sensor. Lambda sensor will be damaged by this.
The broken lambda sensor will either:
read a stuck value
never come alive
jump around in the whole range multiple...
Sticker just looks tacky in my opinion. Own it and show that this thing is being driven! I'd assume the colored sticker would draw more attention to it than the scratch itself.
How do you conclude your fuel door not opening = electrical issue regarding rough starts?
I'd guess you might have accidentally locked the car getting out. The fob buttons press rather easily even in pants pockets. That would lock the door.
Do you have a OBD reader? If so check your O2 sensor readings. I went through numerous pairs until we fixed what was destroying the sensors over and over again.
This kind of codes are not documented. But I can tell you it’s a Emira gremling that might fixed by an update. If it’s a continuous occurrence it might be water ingress. Don’t sweat it - drive it and it should clear itself after a few miles.
Welcome to the family 😂
I'm gonna go +1 on fuel being the clue.
I've driven about 7000 kilometers (4350 cheeseburgers per eagle) without a single stutter when starting.
I usually fuel up on German "JET" Super 98 = Euro RON 98 approx. US 94.
2 days ago I had to go with "Aral" which sells "Aral Ultimate 102" here...
