I wonder why delivery takes so long? If the e.mail is triggered at 75% through production, the remaining 25% surely only takes another poduction day maximum (assuming all required parts available), the car has to be taken to Oxford for PDI, so say a half day for transport. No idea how long PDI takes, but say another day (being generous), so that is two and a half days. Even doubling all that for contingency and good measure that is only 5 days, so what happens on the unaccounted for 25 days?
Surely, their process can't be so hopelessly inefficient, but perhaps it is.

I think Tom said production takes 12 hours. Then they are take straight to Upper Heyford as there is no room to store cars at Hethel. I am sure Tom also said in reality delivery should be 2 weeks after they come off the line. In my case, being produced next week, I should get it at the end of October/1st week in November.

Yes, three years on the 5th October. No, not optimistic, well after everything we have collectedly been through. What with delays and broken promises on delivery dates, i still will not believe it untill i am driving my Emira away from the dealer.

Congratulations to folks getting checkout emails and updates on cars going into build in the next week or so.

Deafening silence here and I see numerous other pre-reveal deposit holders now being left in the dark and shunted later, with no explanations.

Shame on you Lotus. Shame on you for the utterly shambolic treatment of the loyal enthusiasts who had faith in your attempts to re-invigorate the company and placed early deposits with no information about the car.

And usually the Hethel factory shuts down for 2 weeks in December so if you don't get a car in November or very early December then I doubt much will then happen until at least mid January......

Could you break into the factory whilst it is closed and finish a few cars. We could start a new thread with our specs so that you would know what to work on!!
