Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

Congratulations to folks getting checkout emails and updates on cars going into build in the next week or so.

Deafening silence here and I see numerous other pre-reveal deposit holders now being left in the dark and shunted later, with no explanations.

Shame on you Lotus. Shame on you for the utterly shambolic treatment of the loyal enthusiasts who had faith in your attempts to re-invigorate the company and placed early deposits with no information about the car.
TBH Tom, I think Lotus' treatment of you is beyond shameful. After all you've done to fill the information void they left, and being probably their foremost global brand ambassador.

I don't know whether Hethel or Geely are ultimately pulling these strings, but I'd be well out of it if I were you. Go buy the McLaren - you'll have a car - and a proper supercar at that!

And usually the Hethel factory shuts down for 2 weeks in December so if you don't get a car in November or very early December then I doubt much will then happen until at least mid January......
No no because they're so busy they'll lay on the ot and work through like they did in August so as not to continually keep disappointing customers ......

Oh wait......

😄🤦

With first deliveries to UK based customers due for July, with it now being mid-June, I wondered if anyone has yet received notification of a delivery date yet?

I myself have been informed of an August delivery and with how things have gone so far I presume it will be end of August at best.

Nevertheless, mega excited regarding the Emira and looking forward to its appearance on TopGear this weekend!

Updated info as of 7/29/2022
“I am sorry to advise whilst we have commenced the checkout process for October deliveries we are yet to complete this bracket of customers. As such this will likely result in rescheduling for some orders. We have requested updates from HQ and have been advised communications will be sent in the next few weeks regarding this and availability of test drives.
The next stages for your order will be checkout and following completion of this we will then contact you to discuss handover dates.
There is still time to meet a November delivery but with the amounts of checkouts we have managed to complete I expect any December deliveries will likely move to 2023 and deliveries earlier than this will be moved accordingly. I am sorry I cannot be more specific and assure you communications will be sent to confirm any changes very soon.

I spoke with CS today to check when my November delivery will come, yanno as arranging suppliers for insurance, finance, collection, PPF is needed.

Basically, if you like myself are “October build and November delivery” and do not receive the checkout email “soon” then it’s almost certain you won’t get your car until early 2023.

I was told that given the number of checkout emails out so far, that many/most October deliveries have been pushed in November, and as they do not plan on delivering many in December, it’s very likely to be early 2023 - however official comms would be sent with revised plans in the coming weeks.

I stated that given todays conversation was yet again me getting in touch with CS rather than the other way around, that it is so SO poor treatment that they told me today I would be hearing in a few weeks time that I won’t be getting my car in November, when in a few weeks time it actually is November, and when the most recent comms that I have been sent, has said November delivery…

July, August, October, November, ???

Nothing more needs to be said really that hasn’t already been by others, I’m not going to cancel my order, so just give me the truth and be proactive with communication.

Ffs I was hoping for my car to be delivered in November in time for my bday late November.
Giving that the factory shuts down in December delivering my car in Winter is pretty pointless. We’d be better off with delivery in March.

dont you worry about it, we probably will be looking at March / April anyway.... haha and thats no APRIL fools either.
Im not going to the UK in January to get a frozen Emira...
Im going to Bali to defrost near'a' to April works

I want to say I am surprised, but after the last few months this was almost expected. Lotus are putting out fires from all directions.

It is a painful wait, but in all honesty I'm not sure I would want these first month batch cars anyways. I have zero confidence that these are being screwed together with care. Generally a company's ethos towards its customers is the same effort they put into their products. I hope I am wrong for the sake of everyone that got a checkout e-mail.

About ready to up my budget by 50% and move on from this trainwreck. @TomE is feeling it more then me after the way he's been treated! I think by the time this over, the original 4 that met with Lotus people and toured the factory early on will not end up buying the car. Been how long now and still nothing from @Next Decade or @Hapkin. That was all we had to look forward to on here for new info, instead we are clinging to 2 people with checkout emails... stupid.

Yes, three years on the 5th October. No, not optimistic, well after everything we have collectedly been through. What with delays and broken promises on delivery dates, i still will not believe it untill i am driving my Emira away from the dealer.
Remember, it's the journey and not the destination.

I emailed CS for an update on my Oct build before looking at the forums. It appears the last few pages of this thread offer some clear indicators as to the likely hood of seeing that car next month. 🙁
If delivery does drop into the new year it is going to be hard pressed to compete against what I suspect will be a very buyer friendly user sports car market by then. Alternatives I am watching on auto trader are already shedding a few grand here and there.

What alternatives are there?

For the purpose I originally planned to use the Emira for a 991 GTS would be right up there, maybe an R8 or an AMG. However, I picked up a Boxster S to bridge the (ever growing) gap which it seems the Mrs will want to keep so the brief may have moved, in which case an Exige, maybe a GT4, a Nobel or an even Atom. I am tempted to get in queue for new Atom regardless.

Exactly the reason why I’ve canceled my Lotus Eletre and Emira orders. Will never buy a Lotus again. Goodbye 👋🏽 and I’m sure they don’t give a rats ass about me leaving either. Which says exactly for what the company stands for in itself.

understandable ..... for all the reasons we have previously talked about at great length and will no doubt continue to do so.
You wont be the only one when news of further delays of 4- 6- 10 weeks gets around... which it seems quite likely wont get around as they dont tell us anything until its already happened and we can figure it out for outselves...or we chase them and find half of it out that way....

good old Lotus :) its nice to know in a world full of change, you can sometimes rely on things not changing at all.
