Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

Exactly the reason why I’ve canceled my Lotus Eletre and Emira orders. Will never buy a Lotus again. Goodbye 👋🏽 and I’m sure they don’t give a rats ass about me leaving either. Which says exactly for what the company stands for in itself.
This is really sad to read and yet also completely understandable.
The fact that Lotus don't even realise or indeed don't care about how exisiting customers are feeling is so disheartening its unreal 💔

Just spoke to CS (haven’t spoken to them in months as no point they never tell you anything). I specifically asked if we are seeing further delays - I was told no everything is on track ! my car is going into production soon.
Don’t believe a word of it !
Also could not tell me how this process for booking the demo cars will actually work as they have not being briefed yet, we’ll be getting comms next week. Also could not tell me if Leeds Lotus is getting a sports suspension
What is the point of having a CS team that know jack sh”” about anything there kept in the dark as much as us muppets 🐸🐸

Some cheerful news for us all :ROFLMAO:

Could you break into the factory whilst it is closed and finish a few cars. We could start a new thread with our specs so that you would know what to work on!!
I got sent this photo, there are a few more cars that look ready to go to Europe.

we have already seen the sept 9 being delayed...only now getting the 30 days? checkout email..hence november delivery for them you would imagine, and mention in emails of other delays expected...so yes, dont believe a word of it is right.

It would appear that Oct build Nov delivery is now unlikely and more likely december.... but with obvious holidays there, that could, as other have said, be january delivery.... thats a 2 month further delay over november, or SO IT WOULD SEEM...
and the hope of a pleasant surpise from lotus to prove me wrong has far since left my inner workings... almost all my previous assumptions and un factually based guesses have turned out to be correct...unfortunately, but at least it helps me to feel smug and self satisfied, thats something to thanks them for!

Everything you have said is correct. I too want to test at Leeds, but only if they have a sports suspension car! Otherwise what’s the point. In all my days of buying cars, this is the worst experience I have ever had. And I’m a dedicated Lotus fan.
Do I need to give my money to the Chinese who have nabbed the badge and history. Like so many others.

Also just cancelled - life's too short and I'm not convinced the car will fit my needs even when it does arrive.

CS asked for feedback as to why but no one called or tried to persuade me not to. As a first-time Lotus/current Porsche owner they're obviously happy to let me go, which is a shame. Never got a keyring or a shiny booklet, let alone tea and biscuits at the dealer. It's the small things. On a plus note, got my deposit back inside 10 working days. So that was nice.

Best of luck to those hanging in there - I'm sure the car will be magnificent.

Completely contradicting what they told.me yesterday on my "estimate delay "

Rather astonishing, strange and a little frightening.......recent posts from the German Lotus Forum:

Hello everyone, the price for the Emira is not even very exaggerated. The price is also negotiable. So if someone really wants an Emira and has the cash to do so, they will definitely hit it. Lotus has already pointed out that the Emiras, if they have not yet been pre-ordered, will be significantly more expensive next year. Yesterday I asked the Haese company. The "boss" said that a surcharge of at least 10-15% would have to be expected. As I said at least...

The vehicles after the First Edition will be more expensive because many equipment items have to be ordered, right. However, "my" dealer LOTUS Haese Villingen currently has 5 Emiras, of which m.W. only 2 customer vehicles are. I.e. 3 are available, without surcharge.

Ive been thinking about it and thought to myself whats the point in cancelling, if your an early car no matter where you are the world and your thinking about cancelling DON'T just flip the car and make yourself a few quid.

I know that is wrong and upsets a lot of people but it's the simple answer.

Sorry to hear that you have cancelled, I hope that you find something else soon and it is a less painful and tedious process.
It just shows with the cancellation process that Lotus have completely failed again. Why would you let a depositor simply walk away with no effort to retain you. Lotus simply do not care, not one jot.

I would have agreed with you a few months ago, but now I am not so sure. I think the way the economy is going, the used car market could change very rapidly. Also, if there are any negative reports once cars start being delivered his could further impact the desirability. If there are issues with PDI's on exported cars as reported in other threads, this does not necessarily bode well for overall quality.
Sorry to sound negative, but we learn with the passage of time and Lotus are giving that in abundance with our delayed orders.
It is quite disturbing to see members of this forum who were hardcore brand supporters (me included), starting to slowly turn against Lotus.

And yet, if the report from the German Lotus forum linked above is to be believed, there are three Emiras sitting on a lot in Germany without buyers... so these must be cancelled orders (surely Lotus aren't actually shipping spec cars to dealers rather than filling customer orders... or are they?)

Personally I wouldn't risk trying to flip an Emira right now, especially with economic storm clouds most definitely moving in.

CS have given me positive feedback today but i'm so confused with what what i'm reading in this thread, I would guess that there will be further delays for some people and not for other's hence Lotus have not sent out a blanket email confirming this.

Russian roulette I guess.

As for the Auto V6 I doubt we will see it until 2023.

Well I know I can get 10k overs right now...

Yeah the old cancelled orders trick wink wink

Was the overs offer from a dealer or private buyer?
To be honest I don't intend on flipping that would only be if I was forced to ie the car drags delivery well into next year. But to answer your question I know private buyers that are interested.

Ive seen cars up for 100k but thinks that's way to optimistic.

Doubtfull those are just sitting on the lot for MSRP. Those would have been swooped up. However they are correct in the market, more towards the 20% though, but the confirmations are slowly coming out the base could be a 100k car.
