Blendmount for Emira

Here is Colin's response:

Hi Russell,
We are still trying to figure out the correct mount for that vehicle. I suggest having us cancel the order until we can confirm what would be the correct mount. Up to you.

You mentioned you saw a post of someone who has the mount. I'm not sure if it's possible, but could you reach out to that person on the forum and have them contact us? If they have the vehicle and the mount, we can work with them and see if that mount is indeed correct or not.

Wonder if they'd be willing to join and talk to us here. Send them the link to this thread? Worth a shot 🤷‍♂️

OK I got more information from Blendmount.

I will not be able to get out to the dealer next week to get the measurement my self any input from you folks would be greatly appreciated.

Need a picture of the mirror from the Passenger Side, side view, like example below?
And if possible the measurement from the bottom of the mirror stem to the bottom of the mirror? (see attachment)

I will measure it and post tomorrow.

OK,

The stem, is 17mm diameter. The usable area of the stem that you could realistically clamp onto (whilst still being able to move the mirror) is only really about 10mm, 12 max, any more would foul the swivelling of the ball joint mount.
The distance from the bottom of the stem, to the bottom of the mirror, (or mirror buttons in my case, a I have the integrated homelink thing, that I cant get to work), as per your diagram, is 27mm.

Interestingly, on close inspection to measure this, I noticed that I have a couple of wires bulging out from the trim, so need to address this.

ended up calling because I had no reply to my email

Long story short now they want more
Pics of the radar actually mounted in the car …..

I really would rather talk to the r&d person to get a clear answer on what they want/need

I’ll try to get to the dealer in the next few days

This is what I got from Blendmount:

“””That would be our BMG-2024 mount:
https://blendmount.com/aluminum-rad...2024-compatible-with-ez-mag-mount-custom-fit/

*In case you didn't know, you'll have to unscrew the magnet from the suction cup mount that your Escort came with, then screw the magnet onto our mount.
(The magnet is Escort's product and they don't allow us to supply or sell them).

If you wanted our Mirror Tap, it would be MTX-1015:
https://blendmount.com/power-cord-m...1-2-amp-inline-fuse-with-military-grade-taps/

Or if you wanted to tap to the fuse box, it would be our HT-1096:

Mirror Tap is not needed. Cleaner install All we need since the mirror plastic housing on the windshield has a USB connector for video and radar setup, it's on the passenger side. https://www.stickerfab.com/products...ne-uniden-radar-detector-power-cord-universal

It works !!!

The v1 needs 12v so I think I’ll be forced to wire tap. A lot of the cables like the one posted have reviews of not providing sufficient power for the V1

Wonderful news! I have the referenced cable and an Escort Max 360c MKII, so we'll see. I'll order the Blendmount today! Appreciate the intel!

My V1 2nd gen has no issue with the cable. Above your picture on the same side I see the usb hole it’s a straight shot and your not tapping into any cords.

So strange, just powered my V1 2.0 and did the most resent update while plugged into usb without any issue. Do you have the one that works with 12V? Plus look for any that says Note: This USB RJ11 Radar Detector Cable is not suitable for Valentine One radar detector. Good luck. What blend mount model number. Try this one:
