Chronic electrical issues on late 2024 build I4 First edition

I’ve had the same issue as everyone else, left indicator fault and right indicator fault. These happen almost every drive. What I haven’t seen anyone mention is a brake indicator fault but it’s only happened once. It was worse before I charged the battery. The message used to stay until using the turn signal again. Now it will disappear immediately as soon as it appears. I sure hope it will be resolved with a software update don’t really want them tearing apart my car just yet.

We own a 2024 V6 manual, as do close friends whom live nearby. A northern state dwelling relative recently visited our Florida home to compare our Emira driving experience vs. the C8 he was considering buying. After comparing both drives he bought a new I4 First Edition, wanting the auto gearbox so his wife could also drive it, and left it in our garage for now until the weather warms enough to take it home.

When he made the original test drive at the dealer he noticed the yellow triangle/exclamation point displayed but not being familiar with the car thought nothing of it, even though the salesman briefly fussed with the controls to source the problem.

Upon taking delivery the triangle was still there, he had the service department look at it and they declared there was a telematics issue and replaced an antenna and declared it fixed. The owner drive it for an hour before putting it in our garage before going home.

As directed by the owner I started the car several days later and the telematics alarm went off again then shut off, so I drove the car a couple of miles and got a brief fault warning that the left rear blinker had failed. Not long after that another warning about the right blinker failing came up then dissapeared. Over the next three times driving the car the telematics warning came up then disappeared the same with a blinker failure warning. On one of those trips the telematics light stayed on for the whole trip.

I made an appointment at the dealer to fix the problem and dutifully notified the owner.
Enroute to the dealer the taillight warning indicated two times then vanished.

The dealer eventually told us that there had been no codes recorded in the ecu, and they couldn’t figure out the problem and had to contact Lotus ( the taillight warnings popped up irregularly for them as well. Now we’ve been told that there are 40 other cars, all I4s, that have the same problem, and it has not yet been sorted yet- the hope is that it’s a software problem but nothing has fixed it so far. I suspect that the owner of this car might choose to return it and go for the safer bet, the C8. He drove his car once during his ownership, the rest of the time it’s been in the shop with no known resolution. Anyone else had this issue?
Hmmm ... I'm almost certain I briefly saw a turn signal warning at some point during my break-in drive last weekend, but now I can't remember the circumstances and how it cleared. The one annoying thing I've seen is that periodically I get a "WiFi Disconnected" message and my Spotify from the phone (Google Pixel 8 pro Android) will drop out. I guess that is Bluetooth connectivity because it didn't seem to be a problem when the phone was USB-C connected. More things to investigate, but it is parked for the month due to weather and travel.

Thanks for that, I learnt something new. I'd assumed the USB sockets were power-only - but from this post I checked the user manual and read that the USB ports in the armrest supply data as well. Nice to know.

My I4 Emira was delivered mid-January. It arrived state-side on the last boat of 2024. I have about 1300 miles on it now.

I get the right turn signal warning about once per week. It usually disappears within a second, but last time the warning stayed on for a while. Never got a left signal warning.

Two more issues:
One day while shopping the car would not unlock when pushing the button on the key fob. The trunk would not open either. I had to use the physical key to open the door (causing the alarm to go off.) When I got home I switched fobs.

Another day the driver side window would not stay up. After about 10 tries it did. This only happened once.
