Driver seat issue

Thought I’d share my experience with everyone following this thread now that I got to see my car this week. The condition of the seats look way worse than I thought they’d be and this is before I sat in my car once. Even the side bolsters look like they have some wear from inconsiderate clowns getting in and out. Pointed this out to the gentleman handling my delivery but they basically said there’s nothing they can do and recommended I start a case with Lotus customer care or something….unacceptable frankly.

Those seats look normal. The distress lines in the leather that are visible in the photo are characteristic of any good leather and are part of the appeal.

This thread is referring to the leather being cut in a straight line right at the edge of the black plastic. It's a very specific issue with the parts.

I had some of this white round edging strip so I thought I would see what it looked like and it seems to go with my ice grey seats ok.

Totally fair. I should have been more clear with my post. I was mainly b*tching that the leather had already looked fairly creased before I even took delivery.

I think this new photo is closer to what everyone else is experiencing. I received the car today and took a closer look. Sure enough, a straight line crease running along the plastic is forming. I’ve ordered the lovely door trim that the brilliant people on this thread suggested!

Picked up my car earlier today and have now added the rubber strip to my seats. FWIW, the ridge of the plastic really did not feel sharp at all, but hey better safe than sorry I suppose.

I have been lazy, I bought what is needed and already put 200+ miles with no issues. Ran my finger through these areas, and no sharp edges. Will still add the mod just to be safe, but have barley seen a crease at this area in my car.

@Bulls-Vivid-Red they're starting to correct it?
I believe they’ve corrected it at the factory. My wife’s didn’t feel sharp at all either, but I still put the rubber strips in to be safe. Also, the strips are only for the edges of the seat closest to the door. No rubber strips are needed for the sides next to the cup holders.

I can't say that I've personally felt any of the ones which were clearly causing people here issues, but on my own car the edge felt rounded and not sharp at all.
So I must really plop myself in a bit too hard or something, cause roughly 1/3 of the rubber strip popped off on me yesterday! I'll be more self-aware moving forward, but if it pops off again I may just say screw it and take it off. Like I mentioned before the plastic seems beveled/rounded, at least on my car, and so this may not even be necessary.
