That 996 4S rear does look nice. We had a 996 and had the non curvy base car.

Now have a 991C4S with the baby got back too. Helps the look. Disappointed all 911s are 'wide' now.

Agree, it was nice to have the differentiation between the widths, and the 996 GT3 was based on the narrower, lighter body for good reason!

Never did understand the criticism over the Emira rear. I've always really liked it.

Personal opinion, Porsche design will always be constrained by the historical shape. The tail looks like a hatchback that’s melted in the sun.
