Emira for Assetto Corsa

I like the mod for AC better than what they came out with in EVO.
Same. I think it's really good. I haven't driven my Emira in real life that much yet since I took delivery right when it started snowing here unfortunately, so I can't really compare it to the real thing driving hard.

I downloaded the Gordon Murray T.50 a few weeks ago and that's been a lot of fun:

Pretty new to sim. i just downloaded AC evo, mainly to drive the emira. Hoping I can use my H pattern shifter with it!

The track detail is a lot better in AC Evo than AC so once the mods get released for cars, AC Evo will be a lot better

The sound of the Emira into the new AC Evo game is a real shame. For me
It totally ruin/kill the experience. I cannot beleive kunos came out with that. The sound doesnt feel alive at all and it is not similar to the AMG or Toyota engine. At that point they could have used a V10 Lamborghini engine sound and it would not be worse. The 3D car physic detail clearly show the V6 engine into the engine bay when looking at the car into the garage but even when you pick up the manual version you get that turbo spooling and blow off valve noise. The Elise was the first car available with early access for assetto corsa back in 2015 but they never changed a car sound after they get out / released. Let’s hope this time they are going to do/re do their homework right otherwise it shows they dont pay attention to the real thing / important detail for a true experience.

Agreed, the emira sounds most like the i4 version. Was really hoping they’d have a v6 that I could use my h pattern with

From a video I saw the other day, there is a V6 with manual transmission in the game, but it still has the fake i4 engine sound with turbo flutter noises (aka, totally wrong sounds for the supercharged v6).

This developer really screwed up on this car...

Ah I figured out how to use the manual transmission, had to turn the auto clutch off. Having quite a bit of fun with it!

And customized the emira to match mine in real life 😎

I was initially surprised that they had it in automatic, and couldn't figure out which engine it was supposed to be (the turbo flutter made me think the I4, but there were only 6 gears and not 8). Then I realized they have both automatic and manual - Touring Suspension flavor is manual and Sport Suspension flavor is automatic. I didn't drive them back-to-back to see if I can tell a difference in handling.
I kinda expected the Emira to drive similarly to the Evora in the old Assetto Corsa, but the Emira in ACE was substantially less edgy. Will need some more seat time for sure.
I didn't realize that the Touring and Sport suspension models corresponded to the transmission selection. I was trying to spec the Emira like my car and was confused by the I4 engine sounds and the automatic transmission when I selected the Sport suspension. I didn't think to try the Touring. I think they are having issues with the game today because I was only able to load one practice event before the game wouldn't render the in-game environment. I can see the car's information on the overlay, but everything else is black. It's really strange. So, I turned it off and will try it again later.

You can customize each car to automatic or manual by clicking "intelligent shifting" or something like that in the customization menu. You can see in the car the manual shifter switching to the auto

I found that and changed game mode to expert to remove all the automatic nannies, but then the game blacked out on me, so I didn't get a chance to try it.

With the latest 0.1.3 version you can have both manual and automatic for both suspensions (touring and sport). The default is still manual with touring and automatic with sport.
The engine for both appears to be the V6 (6 gears for the automatic vs. 8 for the I4), though.

Try doing any change in the Video settings menu (turn on/off VSync, for example) and hit Apply. This should fix the black screen. For me it only happens on some tracks - Laguna Seca has it but Brands Hatch does not.

I will give that a try, thanks!
