No English subtitles, apparently.

I assume it says the Supra is a better daily driver and quicker in most cases, but the Emira has more driver engagement and handles better. End of the video asks the viewer to decide if one is worth nearly twice as much as the other and that we should be happy that both of these manual transmission vehicles are available at all.

What's the conclusion?
- Emira is a better looking car
- Emira is a driver's car
- Supra is more comfortable
- Supra has more usable power everywhere and a much better engine

No conclusion other than they both employ a very different approach to sports cars. They also mentioned that alternatives would be the cayman or the alpine a110.

🥐

I would probably add that long-term, the Emira engine is the more reliable of the two. Perhaps as a garage queen, the Supra with BMW drivetrain is acceptable.

As an ex-Supra owner, I agree. Supra's party trick is the drivetrain and its overall reflexes. It was sharper and responded quicker to driver input than my Evora GT. Whenever I drove the Supra, I noticed that I was driving like a jerk. Whenever I drove the Evora, I was calm and enjoyed driving it because the car itself remained calm and not hyper sensitive (relative to Supra). The same would apply to Emira too.

That almost looks like the Supra makes you feel like you are in your 20s again. :D

FYI none of that was my opinion — just a summary of the video’s conclusion — I’m a native French speaker.

I didn’t necessarily agree on the comfort part. I found the Emira more comfortable to be in than the Supra. Part of that has to do with how much cabin space there is, the Supra feels claustrophobic to me.

The Supra, according to Car & Driver, is fairly quiet at highway speeds (68 db). I haven't yet seen any mention of cabin noise levels in the Emira. What is your opinion in this regard? I already have a noisy car (MX5), so any addition will have to be quieter.

I’m not super good at sound volume comparison — but the engine and transmission noise was far more pronounced as you’d expect in the Emira. I’m not sure about road noise though — would need back to back comparison.

Is this their second review? For some reason I feel they had done another one.

They released a comparison video between Emira, Cayman and C8 a week or two ago, and now this is the dedicated Emira review. So different video, but similar content because they obviously love the car and sing some of the same praises.

Original one was here which was the Cayman GTS 4.0 vs. C8 vs. Emira. I won't spoil it on which one they chose as the best.

I guess they loved it so much they wanted to do a solo video of it and drive it a bit more in those canyon roads :)
