Emiras advertised for sale on other sites

Really none wanted to buy the Emira? Did they say why?
I have it on good authority that two of those aforementioned dealers have had at least ten people wishing to pass on there as yet untried car for 5 to 10 k more than list ! Needless to say the dealers see no mark up at that level and feel that a first edition emira which is being produced for two years at least is by this time next year when production should be in full swing will be worth trade 68 to 70 k to sell at or below list !

Makes sense that if production [ever!] ramps up fully and there are over 1000 uk cars that prices will decline….

However that’s a good year away… and people are already being pushed out til 24 so I’m not wholly convinced of this ramp up

right now the order book is very strong and there’s highly constrained supply… which would seem to indicate a premium for at least a few months, but I guess we’ll find out in a few days

Kind of makes sense, I know most prestige dealers made 5k on cars up to 70k, now I've noticed them wanting to make up to 12k on cars up to 100k.

Thanks for this. Interesting as to why there so little appetite for the Emira in the trade.
an unproven product and lots of downside risk given the state of the economy

They'll soon change their tune if/when there are proven examples sold for decent 'overs.'

Just need to look at the GR Yaris.... still selling for overs 2 years down the line.

Obviously if an actual ramp up in production happens (which I doubt will be for some time) then the overs will reduce in line with availability.

The other unknown is how many people deposited on the Emira for speculative purposes..... My guess is quite a few, and if they all hit the market together then it could hinder values

Agree if the one on collecting cars fetches 100k they will be all over it…
It'll certainly set the benchmark and let's not forget the buyer's fee of 6% which at the current bid of £72.5k means another £4k+ on top

Ah yes the fee will create some drag.

Compared to the other cars on collecting cars the emira seems to be punching well above its weight so far…. Only a few cars with a higher bid, which of course are mainly rare Porsches

Who ever is bidding they would of been better buying the car when it was advertised on autotrader- unless of course the seller was not open to offers below the £105k 🤔

I'm still thinking these auctions will close higher than those of you here think they will. Just wait till the first one goes to auction in the USA too, you'll just be left wondering _why_.

I think its 5% and a maximum of 5000....

What we should all do is chip in and buy these first 4 5 cars..to protect residuals ;)....

The last 30 minutes of these auctions are when most serious buyers come in, depending on how high it has or has not got to at that point.
It would be quite normal that if it was at 90k 30 mins before, it could easily be over 100 at the end and the end keeps getting prolonged each 2 mins, if there are further bids..
Despite mr 72.5 thinking he's going to get a good deal, hes not...
In fact, I believe the reserve has not even been met yet, which will be a minimum of 76 and probably 81k, thats when it also gets more interesting...
The early chancers have dropped out now... it will slow I guess and then pick up again....
