I'm excited for you guys whose car has finally arrived on the first boat of I4s!

My dealer hasn't given me a VIN. At what point in the process should this info be provided? He does say my car should arrive in January. I wish I could track it.

My dealer could only provide me the VIN once the car was unloaded from the ship and loaded onto a truck for transport. Other dealers were able to provide a VIN earlier. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a standard.

This seems to be the same experience with my dealer.

Just seems like every dealer does it a little differently. I mean, they have to know the VIN’s of the cars incoming. But regardless, knowing the VIN doesn’t change the wait. Mine arrived in the 9th, but still not at dealer. Hopefully soon. I do think the wait will be worth it for the AMG. The Chinese Bili Bili (Chinese YouTube) ….. these cars seem incredible. If I only could understand Mandarin.

Just received notification from the dealer that they have my car.
