Question: When a dealer does a SW update, is the OEM ECU involved and re-flashed, or is this SW stored elsewhere?
Or in other words, with the JUBU ECU, what happens when the dealer does a service and new SW is available?
Yeah you would have to switch to OEM ECU to get those updates on that ECU. But JUBU would do update to the Syvecs ECU

******Ok so deadline for the 15% discount and current Syvecs price is end of end of Nov/early Dec.

Right now I have 3 people ready. We need at least 7 more for this group of 10.

Again- next year or after this deadline it’s only 10% group buy discount and Syvecs is raising there cost. (Like everything else raising in cost! It’s getting old.)

Hello:
Is the Jubu 15% discount for power upgrade only ? Or other Jubu stuff as well ? Not interested in power but wheels, harness bar, suspension, wheels , maybe seat.
Thanks

Yeah I asked waiting on reply on this. I know there is idk the discount and group number needed. I will circle back and then probably open a new thread for all other parts other than ECU.

Their heavy duty valve springs would be a nice complement to the higher redline that’s enabled with the ECU.

So I reached out to JUBU directly and asked them the question around what happens when you sell the car. Their response was “The ECU is programmed to your VIN. But If you sell your car we can update the new owner VIN. Needs a remote session about 1h of time and about 150€ of costs”.

So good news here that you can sell your JUBU ecu to someone else and they would just need to have JUBU reprogram it remotely to work with their VIN.

It depends on the part they said. I asked for details on each item so I can post. The JUBU Carbon for example they said they can do 20% off for a group buy of 10.

They have lots of parts so would like it broken down so we can understand how much discount and how many buyers.

Will circle back when I get the details. Hoping the can send me an excel sheet, it’s what I asked for.

Now that JUBU has some working sessions with the first batch of users to fix their issues, do you think we can get an update on how things are going with them? @hellasf1

Yea I posted a long update couple pages back, idk if you read all that yet.

Recently I had a remote session done with Rene to add “OEM” overruns back in. He also made some throttle adjustments while he was doing the overruns, not related.

The throttle adjustment he made has made it drive even better! He said he made the response quicker and little more sensitive. It’s perfect IMO!

As far as the overruns, it’s about the same as OEM overruns.

It does overruns by itself around 2k and under but over that I have to engage very little throttle to activate. Which I don’t mind.

From what I remembered on stock ECU with my full Milltek system with 3 cat delete and controller I would get overruns lower in the rpms. For example if I was in 3rd and let off at say 6k rpm I would NOT get overruns. Idk about everyone else.

He will do another one that’s louder than the one I have which is OEM level loud maybe slight louder right now, but not annoying by any means.

I did use LC with a draggy but really wasn’t ideal temp as it was 60 degrees. Anyways I did 3 runs and lowest I got was 4.3 highest was 4.5 but I was spinning for at least half a second maybe more. I do believe if it grips off the line with LC sub 4’s no problem with this tune. I think 3.5-3.8 would be realistic in ideal conditions. I don’t have a short shifter yet which will help.

So I plan on getting a SS and then doing it again hopefully on a nice 80 degree plus day. We all know this car isn’t for drag racing at the end of the day. There are other test like the 100-200 which would be more ideal to test difference between stock and this 440.

What I can say as I said before, you can definitely feel the strong power! It’s linear and pulls all the way to 7,200 (I have the 7,200 you can opt for 6,800 if you want) 2nd gear is really improved as stock it felt really low in power compared to the other gears.

Let me know if you have any specific questions!

This is off topic, and I am interested in this upgrade in the future.

My question is, would this company be interested in developing a way to update the other software functions of the Emira, similar to what Bimmercode offers for BMW models? They appear to have the coding ability.
They said they haven’t thought about it. Asked what would you like to change? Do you have some examples? They would like to know and they can try.

I’m going to start DM people who have voted above and see if they are ready bc we are getting close to deadline for this year batches 15% discount plus Syvecs lower price for 2024.

So if you have voted please be on the lookout so I’m not chasing everyone multiple times.

We have 4 ready who have DM already. Need at least 6 more for this group.

Thanks very much for inquiring with them. Off the top of my head here are a few items I would like to be able to change, I'm sure I could think of more.

* Enable opening/closing the windows with the key FOB. This is turned off for the U.S. (and maybe other) markets.
* Turn off the seat belt chime warning tones.
* Enable the rear fog light. This is not enabled for the U.S. market and I'm guessing it is a software switch.
* Enable the ability to open the doors from the interior with one pull when the car is locked. It is currently set to 2 pulls if locked.
* Perhaps turn off the DRL's
* Perhaps have the wide third brake light in the spoiler light up at 5-10% all the time. I did this on an Audi TT RS and it was very cool, and did not affect how the brake light worked otherwise.

This link has a list of many of the options that can be coded on BMW cars. I'm sure our overall list would be quite a bit smaller but it gives an idea of the type of coding changes that may be available.

Thanks again,

Happy Saturday!

If your name is highlighted above, you have voted on the JUBU 15% discount forum on 1 year or sooner timeframe. I posted in the thread, but it can get lost sometimes.

The 15% discount is ending at the end of November/Start of December 2024. Next year it will go down to 10% discount, and they told me Syvecs is raising their prices as well. We need at least 10 people for the group buy. I have 3 people who have DM me already with info I need to submit to JUBU. We have 35 people here, so we have plenty for a couple group buys or 1 large one.

JUBU said they are on Vacation Dec 19th to the end of the year. Deadline is December 6th for them to have payments. I would like to get them the information end of November so they have time to send everyone the excel to fill out and custom invoice.

Action Item - If you are interested, please email me your name, email and phone number. Sooner the better!

Let me know if anyone has any questions!

I really do want to try this, however I'm having a hard time validating the effectiveness of this ECU swap, and quantifying longevity of the powertrain after install. Is there info I'm missing, I only see a few basic videos online. Thx!
