We still need 6 people for this group buy of 15% and the lower syvecs cost.

JUBU is closing on Dec 19th so they would like to have the list end of Nov start of Dec 1st. So we really only have 2 weeks tops.

Just DM ME your name, email and phone number.

Did you ever get the 440? If so, how is it?
Yea I have the 440. I love it! You can definitely feel the increase in power. The new LC feature is really nice which wasn’t available when I first installed it. So I have only used it with not ideal weather. I did it with outside temps at 60 degrees and about half a dozen times and each time wheel spin for sure for at least half a second maybe little more (I have the cup 2’s) but my best 0-60 was 4.3. I don’t have a SS yet but ordered from GRP. But even without the SS I believe I can get 3.7-3.9 with LC and 440 tune at ideal temps where the tires can actually grip.

That being said we know the Emira isn’t for 0-60 times. Power delivery is linear all the way to redline, I opted for the 7,200. I shift right around 7k bc the redline indicator is there. (They are working on that to show the full 7,200 but you can still take it to 7,200 just hard to judge.) but i no longer feel that the rev limiter sneaks up on me like it did on OEM. That was a very irritating issue as I felt it was too low at 6800 which I think felt like it kicked in at 6600 to be honest.

I will eventually go with the 460 idk if I will go further but it’s tempting, will see how much weight savings I am willing to do and the cost compared to going to the 500 plus kits.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Hi mate, was wondering if I am too late to join the jubu group buy? I’m in Melbourne Australia.
No you’re good. Send me your name, email and phone number.

We won’t reach the 10 this year. When we do get 10 people Internet for the buying group it will be 10% and the cost of syvecs will increase. Will see what that is after the new year.

Also I get no kick backs or anything from JUBU. I paid same price as everyone else in our first group buy. And I will do the same when I want to go to 460 and hopefully get a discount off of that as well.

I started this thread to get a discount bc I thought the prices were so expensive. I’ve tuned cars all my life and never spend this much for this little increase. But the majority of the cost is the new ECU. Then moving forward its parts to ensure our EMIRA can handle the extra power. If lotus put all forged internals in we wouldn’t have issues of these cost tuning our cars. Unlike say BMW M cars you can tune with factory warranty and add 200 hp. I think this is a con of buying a lotus compared to other cars but we all bought the lotus or should have known its strengths and limitations. We all love its strengths but we have to accept the limitations or pay to fix them. :)

I will probably see if I can remove everyone’s voting from the poll above bc people have not been responsive. To be honest It’s been a pain to get other group buys for the sake of people who are waiting ready to buy. People have DM who are ready to buy but we don’t have enough people even thou the polls above state otherwise.

Has the process been smooth- no. Have they corrected and fixed the issues- yes. Do I trust them- yes. I can only share my experience. They know what they are doing with Lotus more than anyone I’ve talked to, including their parts for the Emira besides tuning. Track tested and proven parts.

Everyone has choices to make when trying to modify their car. The choice of how much or little you do is only up to you. I hope this forum is informative if you start at the beginning to catch up. If you decide to want to tune DM me in the meantime. I will try to clean up the voting poll above after the new year.

Hope everyone has a great end of year and a happy new years enjoy time with family and friends!

Very cool. Glad to see you got it. I know there were some teething issues with other US buyers post JUBUs visit, have you experienced any issues with yours?

Yes check out post 84-87 on page 5.
Any update on this?

Side note: I was told that Syvecs has another update coming targeting November / December addressing what should be the remaining issues, but JUBU believes that January seems more realistic. The good news is that with the new firmware they will be installing this week, we should be able to perform future updates ourselves. (Yay!)

Yeah the update on this is January 2025. It’s a remote update for speedlimiter and +/- buttons for cruise control.

Oh sorry I thought those reviews were from other folks that you aggregated. I was looking to see your review now that you were able to get the 440
No im in there as well.

But my overall experience and review is very positive.

Definitely not plug and play as described and think that was the biggest turn off for our first group. Add in the distance to the shop in Austria with the time difference and language barrier it felt like we all made a bad decision. We also had impeccable timing as they went on a company wide vacation for the summer when we all decided to install these.

We were the first so we ran into some firmware issues they weren’t aware of. Once we got that fixed I’ve had no issues. Car really pulls in each gear, 2nd doesn’t feel like sluggish like OEM. It’s way more linear and pulls really strong to redline.

1-2 people felt that OEM was more peppy around town and maybe bc OEM was quick power than died off.

For me I don’t really notice that too much I can agree in first gear maybe but the linear curve is what you want. Plus the back end will get out with the power increase. Car is smooth in all gears and all modes even thou I primary drive it in track 90% of the time. There is a power difference between each mode for sure, track obviously unleashing everything.

The autoblip is nice but sucks it only works when you apply the brake and only in track mode but again with how our cars were build it would cost a lot to put sensors in the gearbox or transmission to have that feature like other manufactures.

Big difference in engine temps when fully warmed up. My engine temp would get to 200 degree every time I drove it. Now my max I see is 185. It’s usually 181 most of the time and when I’m on it hard in track mode it’s actually at 180. That is so much better for the engine than stock ECU.

I’m excited to add GRP SS and get a nice warm day and do some draggy times to report back.

But times aside I love the car even more, it’s faster in all gears, pulls strong and I don’t have redline sneaking up on me. As I said before I shift right around 7k sometimes little above or little below but no longer am I worried I ran out of rpms like I would on the stock ECU.

Hope this helps.

You got lucky, maybe because you guys received a ‘personal’ treatment.

I can show you a dozen pics and vids where it’s absolutely not as promised. My engine bay was cooking and would receive every time when Id push the car really hard ‘select low gear, engine overheeting’ plus many other faults that I started to get worried about my engine. On top of that its just not OEM, i do believe that I can be great for track use but not as a daily for extra power.. go with adding lightness and keep the car stock in that case or go full on with engine rebuild.. with forged pistons, rockerarms, camshafts, valve springs etc and then go beyond 500+. For just the jubu440 powergain the price of 6k+ was ABSOLUTELY NOT worth it. Thats just my 2 cents.

These are my personal opinions, I have nothing against the company (in fact I believe they are one of the two out there who are serious and I believe the might fix the issues in the future). But how I got treated as a customer, the best decision was to split ways. The box is back with them where they will run some test for their own benefit to see whats wrong after that Id like to see a full refund back on my account to that I can add lightness to the car first.. shave off some 100kg and take it from there once I found a reliable company who can rebuild the engine for me.

I would probably never get it for the price, but this sounds like a horror story. o_O
