Quick video on the four jacking points for an Emira. Works if you're using a floor jack or a lift. Note: for the lift, the car is really low. We needed to use two extra rubberized pads in front and one in the rear, due to clearance issues.

I ran into the issues of trying to use a floor jack to lift the car but then not having the space to squeeze a jack in there. If you look under the car, the car has frames all along the side of the car that you can use to jack up the car and squeeze the jack at the jacking point

If using a Quickjack 5000TLX , in another thread the issue of not being able to reach the from jack points due to the offset but instead using a front frame area that Lotus uses on its factory 6 point robot transport/lift. Your opinion for those of us with QuickJacks?

We used quickjacks today to do a decat and valve controller on two emiras (shoutout to Peter if he sees this). We used the quickjacks "sideways" and they worked fine. Both emiras off the ground and back on safely with no issues. Would I recommend this? No. But it worked.

That’s what I did with my 7000TL. I was a little nervous to use a non-official jack point, but it worked fine.

When you put the quickjacks sideways, where you on the front jacking pads or on the frame rail itself? In the past I have used my quickjacks sideways on other cars with no issue, but with my Emira, my quickjacks are too long to fit in between the front tires in order to get to the front jacking pads. Thanks for any insight.

We used them sideways so that they were on the jacking pads. Longways didn't reach, but it did reach the rail. We wanted to make sure 100% that we were using the pads. The front jack did rub against the front tires a bit though. They were pushed as forward as they could have been. On the first attempt at lifting my emira (in the picture above) the jack was really digging into the tire and we brought it back down, moved the jack a couple inches back, and lifted it again. I didn't want to puncture the tire.

Can you tell me which lifting point did you use in the front? Do you have pictures of it? need your help
Sorry i didn’t get pictures. I had the rear contact on the proper jacking point and the front one where at the vertex of where some structural looking pieces came together. Not in the middle of a panel.
