Just purchased the Milltek Valve controller. No instructions were included in the kit whatsoever, not even a url. Dose any have actual instructions from Milltek they can post?

Found this on the GRP site, a bit concerned about button 2 vs 3. Does it come configured to start in last set position ?
The controller has three buttons:
1- Valve open 100%
2- Valve closed 100%
3- OEM valve control -- valve runs just as it does stock.
Some controllers have been reported to have #2 and #3 opposite of this. The best thing to do to verify is start the car, put it in sport mode and then while next the exhaust outlet press #2 and then #3. See which one closes the valve and which one keeps the sound the same.
A couple of programming options as noted from Milltek:
The valve remote can be programmed to change the start mode.
If you want the vehicle to start in the last used mode you need to press button #1 5 times within 5 seconds.
If you want the vehicle to start in a specific mode you need to press and hold the relevant button for 10 seconds.
The flaps will open and close 5 times to confirm the start mode programming.
Are you able to inspect the valve position with a 3 ft wire camera probe or are there too many bends (AMG engine) ? (Not supposed to put car in Sport; still in break in period)

You can still put the car in Sport and Track mode if your only idling. That's not going to cause any issues at all.

Watching this one as I have just bought one as well.

Really poor that they couldn’t just print off an A3 sheet of paper explaining the functionality on a product you’ve spent £300 on. How difficult would that be !

It took me 30 minutes to fit without any instructions its totally logical and intuitive to fit.
I wrapped the controller in heat proof foil and tucked it up behind the heat shield behind the number plate, i did inspect it while i had my car apart yesterday fitting the sports cat after reading reports on here of some melting being positioned behind the number plate and it was as good as new i think that the melted ones are v6 engined cars and there exhaust is further back than the i4

I’ve seen a couple of videos where people have fit the control unit in a small square moulding which looks like it’s well out of the way inside the rear bumper on the left hand side. Did you see that one? Just thinking if there is a risk of melting it, it might be better there.

Just finished install. Yes, there is an empty square plastic port [drivers side] bumper cover corner. Fit in there well; only issue the Valve controller housing doesn't have any tabs to run zip ties. Ended up leveraging the cable to tie down and wrapped the extra cord around square plastic. (mounting points would be nice Milltek).

Does anyone know where the spring clips go back on> right side of picture?

The aero stake end-caps glue was loose - easy came off, will put back on and secure with small screws. Bast to check yours when doing this job.

the clip holds the diffuser and bottom pan together -- you can see this at the end of this video: Video
