Order placed? : post your —FINAL— spec here

I’m tempted by Ice leather so would love to see some decent interior pictures and whether the dash strip causes reflections
Yes I haven't seen it as they didn't have that sample of it

This is the only picture of a sample I've seen.

Don't know if this question has been answered before, I can't seem to find it!

Are the Alcantara seats full Alcantara or are the seat bolsters leather?

Unless they change it on the final production seats, the side bolsters are leather.

You’ll definitely want to check Facebook unofficial personal pages. That’s where we get the most up-to-date and accurate Lotus info.

Just keep an eye out for random people posting pics. ;)

Did you know that what they're doing right now has been requested? I was one of them that made the request. "At least let us see how things are going, cars being built, etc. They don't have to be formal, just something to keep us involved in seeing what's going on" more or less. Matt got the message and said he'd see about getting something done. You'll note the new pictures were from somebody Matt himself was escorting around the factory.

Give them some slack. This is all a work-in-progress for them, and I mean everything. It's not perfect. They aren't a finely honed machine that's been doing this awhile with this new setup. There are a huge amount of firsts here for them and they're working their way through it.

The good news is the cars look great, the paints look great, the previews from reviewers were great, cars are getting built. Give yourself a chance to breathe and decompress or you're going to have a stroke or something. It's a car; a very desirable one, but still just a car. Things are coming along. It's going to get better. It's okay.

100% ok with it if it’s complete. Show all 6 colors, show the seat height, etc.

Don’t piece and parse it out for people to “bump into” online. Send the stuff right to the deposit holders or allow them to opt-into it.

I’m all for random Facebook pics. But don’t censor them and give us more!

The reviewer really annoyed me when he said that the Touring suspension was the one to go for. How would he know without trying sports?? It's as if Lotus are feeding them what to say, as there was nothing new in the review. Just a hunch but I think Lotus want the majority to pick the Touring as it's less expensive.

hmm james, you certainly make an interesting point. I might switch back. I’m a current Evora 2013 owner and I like the way it drives. I’ll probably enjoy sport the same… not sure… it’s hard to pick.

In some ways, like many others I’m trying to balance my use case (3rd car, weekend country road toy) along with to optimize the choices considering they are zero cost options.

Makes me wonder in terms of future cost options. This would be my assumption:

Alcantara >= Leather
Sport >= Touring
Michelins > Goodyears

Anything I’ve missed or disagree with?

Lotus want people to pick the suspension that best suits their driving style and intended usage. That's one reason why there is no price difference between them on the V6 FE. Cost difference is going to be minor or zero, as component count is the same and the differences are in the ratings and setup of springs, dampers and bushes.

When they announce Base Edition and options pricing, I expect Alcantara may be priced slightly higher than Leather but both will be a premium over base interior (say £2-3k). Sport I suspect will be same price as Touring but you'll have to buy Drivers Pack to get it and hence the price may be masked. The Michelins do cost more than the Goodyears - roughly £840 for a set of the Goodyears and about £1200 for a set of the Michelins, assuming the LTS-spec ones are same prices as the off the shelf ones.

So basically you bought the blue show car with the steering wheel on the left and manual ?

- V6 Manual FE
- magma red
- ice grey leather
- black pack (full)
- diamond bicolour wheels (dunno the exact name)
- sport suspension
- home link
- Michelin cup 2

How magma red will actually look caused the biggest headache, since there are so many different magma red pics in the web that really change the whole look of the Color (from sporty, to classy, to boring). The more I see, the happier I am with my choice. Next thing: only very limited information on ICE grey and, at least in Germany, no Color sample for ice grey until today. I was sure to go with the sport suspension (currently owning an Exige 410). Delivery planned for June/July (fingers crossed:) )

Excellent spec. There are a few pictures around now with Magma and Ice combo. I’m toying between that and tan, due to the gold fleck in the paint being a more complimentary tone. Ice looks fresh and modern. Decisions decisions…

Having gone from Nimbus to Seneca I've now settled on this:

V6 Manual FE
Magma red
Tan leather
No black pack
Silver Alloys (to be painted bronze) and silver calipers
Sport Suspension
Tracker
No Privacy glass
Goodyears - should I switch to benefit from extra value?!

Delivery TBC as I'm 1 week overdue on lock-in date. Was August...
