I got my full body PPF done through Lotus Cape Fear. They did 95% PPF and 5% Revivify on some of the smaller black trim pieces where PPF isn't ideal. They used NanoFusion PPF (https://www.diamond-shield.com/nano-fusion-ppf) which isn't as well known in the aftermarket as they focus on OEM installation. It came with a 10 year warranty through Lotus. This team, led by Steve Costa and Juan Carlos, has been installing PPF on all Lotus Cars who option PPF into the USA for over a decade.

All that said, after the initial job I wasn't 100% thrilled with the rear vents as their pattern was just slightly off (they were still constantly tweaking it). Steve and Juan Carlos told me they would be happy to come back and re-do the rear once they had perfected the pre-cut pattern. Most people say this and never deliver. However, they came all the way back through Raleigh from Nashville, TN (10 hour drive) and replaced the rear yesterday afternoon and it looks perfect.

For anyone who can book through a Lotus dealer for Steve and his team, I give them two big thumbs up. Pics below of the relief cuts for the rear vents:

Do you mind sharing, how much did they charge you for this? And did they do any paint correction?

The normal cost from the dealership is $6,000 for the full wrap. They did minimal correction in spots they thought needed it but TBH, my Nimbus looked pretty fantastic from the showroom so I was happy with the result.

It seems there isn't much point doing the correction if it's not needed. They said on the darker cars they usually had to do a lot more correction than on the lighter ones like Nimbus.

How do you remove the 1st edition emblem on sides of car to install film?
Anyone know?

Just held on with adhesive... so standard trick of heat and dental floss / something to gently pry with should do it.

My Emira is at the dealer, so I need to make decisions about PPF and Ceramic Coat (XPEL offered by dealer).

I'm particularly interested in hearing from folks in the UK and elsewhere who have had their Emiras for a while and can share their experiences about where the Emira tends to pick up damage.

Based on my other cars (Elise and 4C) I'm leaning toward the first option, but I'm concerned about the rocker panels. I didn't get the Upper BlackPack, so the second option seems overkill protecting the roof and rear of the car (where I have not observed damage on my existing vehicles. Appreciate everyone's thoughts, experiences and recommendations.

Also, what about Xpel? I'm leaning toward it. TIA, Peter

Finally got my car back after a week at the PPF shop, have minor issues that they'll fix when I go back for the 2 weeks check up but I kinda expected it as it's the first Emira at the shop.

Two questions if you don't mind:
1) is that Magma Red or is it a colored wrap? Just curious as I'm seeing a lot of pinkish/purplish hues.
2) Did you own/drive the car for a while before getting it wrapped? I don't know if I could give my brand new Emira over for a full week.

Magma but Magma changes under the sun depending on angle. Had the car for a total of 4 days and 160 miles before handing it to the shop. Only because I didn't want it to sit at the shop over the weekend. Otherwise would have gone direct from dealer to the shop. I did the full wrap since the front wheels will kick up a lot of dirt. they hit the lower portion of the door and the lower black pack plus the front portion of the rear quarter panel . I figure if I'm doing the front, top and sides, I might as well do the whole car.

That's absolutely stunning @Wiz33. Congrats! Can you comment on how they handled the badge and letters (removed or cut around)? Any gaps/seams visible? And what issues are you seeing that they will fix?
