Hi, I've been advised by Lotus that the UK deadline for submitting V6 FE configuration and paying second deposit has been extended to 12 November.
Also, reminder emails are going out this week to all deposit holders who have not yet indicated their decision about V6 FE versus alternatives, and emails to those who have said they want a V6 FE but have not submitted config/paid second deposit yet. Check your spam folders!
Dear Mr ,
In October we sent you an email explaining that as a priority customer you would be able to configure an Emira V6 First Edition to ensure its place in the manufacturing pipeline.
Our records show that you have not configured your Lotus Emira yet. It might be that our team didn’t manage to speak with you yet or maybe because the Emira live events have been so popular we haven’t managed to book you on to a live event yet.
The exceptional demand has led us to schedule additional Emira reveal events up to the 9th November and the deadline to configure your Emira V6 First Edition has been extended to the 12th November.
If you have decided to wait for the Emira I4 First Edition or Base Edition, we will be in touch in the New Year.
You can configure your Emira V6 First Edition by referring to the previous email from [email protected] containing your link to a customised configurator page and place your configuration fee. If you are unable to retrieve your unique link, please contact us on 0330 094 8047.
We will keep you posted on further developments as they happen.
Lotus Cars
I've just had a conversation with someone at Lotus who told me that I won't get the call for the V6/i4 FE/base decision and 2nd deposit until sometime in the new year (I paid the 1st deposit on the first B&C roadshow day towards the end of Sept). The implication is that they've closed off the first round and everyone who hasn't already had the call will have to wait I guess this is so they can actually get on with the process for the earlier depositors, you lucky XXXs. I'm assured that V6 FE will still be an option when we finally get the call.
Yes indeed, by your figures I'm sure they're up to 6 months of V6 FE production already and they couldn't keep holding up the early orders forever. I don't think it really makes any difference in the grand scheme of things - was just looking forward to getting the configuration in. Guess I'll just have to keep playing with the configurator for a while longer! Doubtful on extra colours for later V6 FE though. Are we expecting the i4 FE to have the same colour options?I assume they needed to fill enough of the production build book to forward order with suppliers and start scheduling. If September deposits are into a second batch then that suggests the first batch is at least 6 months of production. If you're in the second batch I wouldn't be overly concerned. You might even get some more colour choices
I may be biased but I'd like to think they would put a limit on the FE badging so there is some exclusivity to them, especially as those of us near the front of the queue have commited and supported early in the process!!They've hinted at new colours "after six months" but that would really annoy the early V6 FE buyers if they were introduced mid run. It would make more sense to add them for the i4 FE.
What would make even more sense would be to have the V6 FE colours as exclusive to those cars, then add another range for the i4 FE. But I suspect Lotus are just going to add the 7 extra to the current 6.
Ah. The effective cost of that “FE” badge that some will remove/replace…They've hinted at new colours "after six months" but that would really annoy the early V6 FE buyers if they were introduced mid run. It would make more sense to add them for the i4 FE.

Yes there is always that hope! Happy with the six and a 2023 delivery thoughIf you're in the second batch I wouldn't be overly concerned. You might even get some more colour choices
So based on that logic, deposit 31st July would expect delivery in Oct/Nov 2022I assume they needed to fill enough of the production build book to forward order with suppliers and start scheduling. Yes, I think around then. My hunch is they’re trying to get all the V6 FE delivered by end 2022.So based on that logic, deposit 31st July would expect delivery in Oct/Nov 2022
The first delivery dates are subject to everything going to plan, there’s always the chance things could slip a little despite best efforts so ordering a time specific plate may be a little risky or optimistic until the press and first customer cars start to hit the road.Is there a best guess delivery date for a 12 July order for v6 just wondering if I should buy a 22 plate for it or hold on in case its sept onwards delivery
