Forgive me, but a small SD card reader into that USB port will allow mp3 music to be played? There's a USB port in the console.
I usually keep my songs on my phone, and there's built-in wireless WiFi, so no need to plug anything in to play music. As Davebeats says, if you put the songs on a stick, you may not be able to close the lid on the armrest.Forgive me, but a small SD card reader into that USB port will allow mp3 music to be played?
I have a lot of music, and I'd rather free up my phone.Out of curiosity, why are you wanting to play from an SD card rather than your phone?
Good to know. Thank you!I put my music on this low profile USB stick:
For the USB C port I use this cable if I need to connect a phone in there:

Some good news to report on the infotainment system post software updates received at my annual service. Lotus seems to have addressed the issues associated with playing music via an SD card. It now seems to keep the previous index and more importantly you can listen to music right away (it even picks up where you left off on a song).I have an SD card with 30GB plus of music connected via USB within the armrest console. Everything works, but the Emira player sure could be better. The largest issue is that it takes 4 to 5 minutes each and every time you start the car for the built in player to index the files. This indexing issue leads to the player being unable to pick up where you last left off. In the end Android Auto is simply a far superior solution for the Emira (despite wireless connectivity issues discussed in a separate thread).
Id be happy if my armrest USBs workedSome good news to report on the infotainment system post software updates received at my annual service. I have the SD card attached to USB2 and it picks right back up without me having to do anything. Dare to dream, Lotus has finally gotten their tech up to 2010 standards! That is good news.
One thing though, does it remember which USB port you have your music drive plugged into?
