Can I ask (never having done it) the cost of PPF (assuming its the front end and door mirrors) please?

I am using Project R in Wetherby , I have been to see an Emira they had just done , it was very good, you couldn't tell it had anything on it. I am going for the Silver package, which is about £2.5k, all the front end , side skirts , mirrors , rear haunches , A pillars , might get the full roof done as well , as I have the black pack .

Delivery of my auto on the 21st checked online and it’s taxed
phoned Admiral I have multi car insurance and quoted John Howard’s ABI number for V6 auto FE 30019255 and the guy found the car straight away so I moved my insurance over from the car I am exchanging to the Emira.(it will swap on the day of exchange) I insured the car with a value of £89705 to include the PPF and until my multi car policy ends in July it cost me £68.79 including admin fees so nearly all sorted just final conformation from Lotus that all is going to plan then relax if i can I am like a 5 year old waiting for Xmas 🤗

Looks like the site has been updated now

All of a sudden the auto car that was supposed to be quicker than the manual is now slower. Or perhaps the numbers are very conservative

Either way, this is very sneaky of Lotus, and essentially false advertising for people who put their deposit down before.

Performance (Manual/Automatic) *:
180 / 169 mph | 4.2 / 4.6 secs 0-60 mph | 258 g/km CO2

Do we know if the automatic car has a lower red line ?

Things just keep getting worse. So now the auto is slower?!? A lot slower. How can they change this after people have bought the car?

I suspected something like this would happen, which is why they removed the numbers for the auto from the site a few months back. But after speaking to somebody very senior there, I was told that the auto was a bit quicker. Then I wrongly presumed that the numbers were equal, so they just left one number on the site.

Prior to paying for my car, I did ask for the final specification numbers, but they ignored my email. Now we know why.

I’m presuming this is to do with reducing the torque to satisfy the emissions requirements. They should have had plenty of time to run tests prior to advertising the car, You can pick up a hot hatch for half the price now that will probably be quicker

Yes, I know that we shouldn’t get too bogged down with 0 to 60 times, but if they’re not important, why did they advertise them before

Fingers crossed that they didn’t really make any changes and it’s all just puff for the compliance guys

Annoying tbh. Could we just update the ECU or something to give us the best output? It wont need MOT for 3 years, so can just revert it back for that, or give your mechanic a few beers to ignore it.

Just received delivery it’s a lot better than I expected I can’t stop smiling it’s in topaz Bristol having full PPF, I don’t care about speed I’ll be driving at 25 mph posing 🤭
