Thank you Kaz and other contributors who has helped all of us (i4) AMG M139 2.0 Turbo owners get rid of the fake noise. My own M139 engined car just had its 6 months service with 4000 km / 2500 miles. I am both an audiophile and an (analog) audio professional. From the start I have been determined to work on the Emira audio system in my own way with my own priorities. For me it is a priority to keep the three genuine 3-inch coaxial KEF speakers in each door and at the top of the dashboard. I debate if I should add super-tweeters into the available spaces in the door pillars - but only with a rather high low-cut frequency, and no additional crossover on the KEFs that acts similar to a “full-range». The obvious start is a full delete and replacement of all the woofers /subwoofers at the rear.
Honestly I did not directly notice that there was fake sound coming from the audio system, however I have intuitively defaulted to mostly drive the car in the Touring mode (except when on track, and sometime on winding mountain, valley type of roads) , because I found the general sound of the engine to be dislikable and noisy (loud sound does not automatically mean good sound). The audio is only listenable while in Touring mode, and even then it is not great, far below what I have from my Harman Kardon systems in my Alpina B3 (F31) and my 335i Convertible (E93). Especially the Logic 7 in the Alpina.
The findings in this thread explains a helluvalot

I am in Tokyo, so I will have my car audio installer go through the entire audio system, including disconnection of the offending green wire. Probably the best course of action is to take care of the main issues of the entire audio system as well, which means to go with a certain German brand multi-amp and DSP unit, and also replace all woofers and subwoofers. The biggest issue will be to find out if I can have a glassfiber subwoofer enclosure built into the compartment where the OE “Fresh-Air” disaster is mounted as standard.
I am glad I waited to get started with my own personal Emira audio project; since this thread has really been a REVELATION for me. Like others who has already installed alternative audio solutions found out; the fake engine noise was carried over, and this could have happened to me as well
I cannot thank you guys enough
