USA/Canada Delivery Thread

The dealer that got the most V6 FE's allocated was Naples I believe, and they got 70. The next was Park Place in Bellevue and they got 45. Everyone else got less on down the line, depending on their sales record with Lotus. All the FE slots were accounted for by around July 10, 2021, and every allocated car had to have been hard ordered (not a deposit) in 3 groups; first in March 2022, second in April 2022 (I'm in this group), and the last by the end of May 2022. There were no additional FE order slots available after that.

All of the above orders were actual customer orders, not dealer inventory orders.

As far as production, Lotus is supposed to be building cars based on those 3 order months from last year. The first batch ordered in March of last year, is supposed to go into production in March of this year. Second batch goes into production in April, and the last batch in May. Deliveries of the first batch are supposed to arrive in June of this year, second batch in July, last batch in August. At least that's what we're being told at the moment, and barring any further delays, that's what we're expecting in the U.S.
Note that first round USA production is April ‘23, not March.

Put my first deposit down Feb 1st of this year. Was told multiple times that I would likely have the car by the end of the year. I hope it happens but realistically it'll be much later 🤞
Wow. Hope so. I put a deposit down Oct 3 2022. I'm thinking 2 more years.

I believe I was at the tail end of the FE queue, because I ordered mine in May 2022. And when I say order, I mean I placed a 2nd deposit of $10k down against a specific vehicle configuration, all of which was separate from the initial reservation deposit back in 2021.

It’s not clear from your message if you’re saying you placed a first (reservation) deposit, or if you placed an order. One easy way to tell is, an order specifies your car. The dealer would have asked you to configure the car online and submit your spec to them, and confirmed all of that with you (color, transmission, suspension, interior, etc). If this hasn’t happened, you don’t have an order you have a reservation and the FE orders have closed.
Correct about the order confirmation for the factory but Earth MotorCars hasn’t been asking for an additional deposit for confirmation. I expected one but was told no.

You are correct on that. They are not asking for an additional deposit.
I’m fortunate to be in the first cars coming.
Supposedly build in April, if lotus don’t have more delays.
Was told no need to put more money down.

FWIW, Lotus of North Jersey got 33.

Does anyone else feel waking up to constant alerts and comms and then seeing they‘re not about an Emira update but rather trying to garner interest in the Eletre are a huge slap in the face having experienced being hung out to dry as soon as they’ve got our deposits?

Although I’m not a SUV type of person, I can respect the Eletre for what it is.

However, it’s painfully obvious that Geely/Lotus has moved on from their (at least Lotus’) core DNA of true sports cars and the Emira has simply been swept aside. They seem to want to move on as quickly as possible to their new vision and have no issue with flaunting it in the loyal Lotus customers and fans faces.

I’m so tired of seeing social media posts about the Eletre and all the related engineering and design work that I have stopped following them on all the social media platforms that I use (except this forum of course).

Sadly, to me Lotus is no longer relevant as a sports car manufacturer and Geely is showing no signs of rectifying the wrongs that have been perpetrated on their loyal customers.

Lotus, as we know it is dying a slow, painful death and I lament it’s passing.

See page 15:

Eletre expected sales 40-50k/yr? Seriously?

And are doing it out of a dealership the size of a Taco Bell. I have no idea how they manage it.

They were operating out of the Aston Martin dealership, I believe, before the stand-alone Lotus dealership was constructed. I don't know about the new Lotus of DC location. A few weeks ago it looked like this, I don't know how they are going to be able to spruce this place up without costing a large bundle.

Correct. The new Lotus of North Jersey building is rather small, but appropriate for a boutique exotic sportscar dealer IMO.

When did this slip happen? At this rate, I'm looking at July/August production and October/November for delivery? Geez that's getting close to 2024.

News leaked 2-3 weeks ago for NA buyers, but most dealers haven't even communicated it yet. Apparently there is some in-person dealer meeting happening this week (or maybe it's next week) in Cali that will give them more info. At which point dealers are supposed to communicate the updates to their customers. 🙄

NOVA, by the time you get your Emira and put on the first 1000 miles, Lotus of DC/MD may finally have their dealership ready to service your car !!

That's my plan too! Purchased through Flow in Winston-Salem, but will be servicing locally, at least for things that I can't easily do myself.
