Man, only marketing can spin a 6 month delay as "exciting news"...
So six months from…… the last estimate of April production and ~Oct delivery? Or is this just a rehash of the 6 month delay we already knew? I’m assuming the former, so that means that FE’s will start hitting North America in Early 2024. Nice……Lots Of Trouble"We were so flush with money we didnt invest it into manufacturing or marketing and all our executives got a massive raise" lol

Makes sense; the dealer getting info out late and confusing folks. I’m in the 3rd round of Base allocations (educated guess of course) thinking I’ll confirm my order in about 14 months or so from now. I don’t hate that because that means by the time I get my car and start peacocking like a 20 something Lotus will be out of production slots and and I can say “you can’t just go to a dealer and buy one of these”. Like it’s an Enzo..View attachment 23341
This would indicate a Non-FE car.
That was my first thought as well. Totally unrelated. Also, how the hell does the volume of deposits cause delays in production and delivery?

I was told to spec my FE give them the spec code and deposit on Feb 1 2022, then March 22, 2022 Lotus confirmation email saying I was in the "fast lane" . My dealer responded today and said he was under impression that I was receiving an FE. Seems ridiculous if I'm currently #68 or that he thought I would when I was original #110.I believe I was at the tail end of the FE queue, because I ordered mine in May 2022. And when I say order, I mean I placed a 2nd deposit of $10k down against a specific vehicle configuration, all of which was separate from the initial reservation deposit back in 2021.
It’s not clear from your message if you’re saying you placed a first (reservation) deposit, or if you placed an order. One easy way to tell is, an order specifies your car. The dealer would have asked you to configure the car online and submit your spec to them, and confirmed all of that with you (color, transmission, suspension, interior, etc). If this hasn’t happened, you don’t have an order you have a reservation and the FE orders have closed.
Perhaps a lot more people dropped out than anyone here has anticipated. We will never truly know our place in line for the Emira.I was told to spec my FE give them the spec code and deposit on Feb 1 2022, then March 22, 2022 Lotus confirmation email saying I was in the "fast lane" . Lotus is releasing 700 FE’s in North America. If you’re getting one your order most definitely would have been submitted to the factory and confirmed. The dealer can easily confirm if this is the case. I am behind you in line about 20-30 spots. When I let go of my FE deposit because I missed the cut off, I got on at another dealer for the BE almost immediately. I was #162 in March of 2022. Who knows where I am now and I also don't know if that #162 was including FE deposits or strictly Base.Perhaps a lot more people dropped out than anyone here has anticipated. Porsche sold 5K spyders/GT4's combined in North American market over 4 years..... Now they probably could have sold more, based on people waiting for allocations. Point being, I think our dealers in North America, while yes for sure there are wait lists and in some areas they are longer than others, I think there is a fair amount of BS when it comes to how many are at each dealer. I think it vary's between 35-60 per dealer.... Some dealers in bigger city centres may be between 100-150.
Humblest opinon
I put the chances of you receiving a V6 FE car at somewhere between 0% and 2%.I was told to spec my FE give them the spec code and deposit on Feb 1 2022, then March 22, 2022 Lotus confirmation email saying I was in the "fast lane" . It’s all white noise to me at this stage. What a confusing email, if only we had information from a single central source instead of playing telephone through various intermediaries… say from like… a manufacturer themselves.
I know, crazy idea.
