USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Congrats to those who have taken delivery!

Has anyone noticed any difference in the way the car behaves? Specifically, is there any change in throttle responsiveness or rev hang from the demo (european) cars that many of us drove?

Lotus of Dallas has set up an enclosed cubicle just for PPF and ceramic
They did a deal with Xpel and they send xpel people to do it
They did a fantastic job in my car
How much is Lotus of Dallas charging for PPF and for ceramic?

PPF pricing varies depending on what you get done. They have different packages.
The ceramic was I think $1200 but was included in what they call dealer prep
I did not argue as I was going to get it done anyway. Best price I found was $1100 elsewhere. But better it was done at the dealership. For me anyway.
Should we have been told this YES for sure. But I waited 33 months for the car and was not going to argue about it.
I just wanted the car.
They have over the years done a ton of stuff for me on my Evora at no charge and I took this into consideration.

Again, great to see how close we all are to taking delivery, but this is an absolute shit show. Last minute charges. Cars MIA. Cars sitting at ports cuz dealers cant deliver quickly enough. If there was a playbook on how to fuck up a new product launch - Lotus would be a best selling author.

On vacation in Miami, someone is getting a DV over tan today. Congratulations enjoy it.

Once the CARB cert was announced (which was just on Monday), I see people getting their cars and having great experiences with their dealers for the most part. A few dealers are playing the ADM game but generally not too bad.

Hardly a shit show, in my opinion. Cars aren't MIA. They may be in transit due to the quick announcement. Really, what do you expect from these dealers? Instantaneous delivery of 500+ cars that were only approved on Monday?

I wouldn’t say instanteous delivery of cars but at least a good understanding of an ETA. Seems like many cars are “out there” somewhere and dealers don’t realistically know where they are or when they will arrive. It’s all guessing it appears

Nice collection. My collection is going in a different direction. I’ll spare the details but never get drunk and tell your significant other you fantasize about having a 25-yr old escort……

I put 40 miles of twisty road driving on the car last night. Nothing negative or concerning in connection with throttle response or revs. The car feels light and playful, well-settled, and sounds great.
