USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Contacted my dealer again. The only information they have is the car is expected to arrive in July. No VIN or build date from them either..

I don't think the bridge can fall down again.
Given unfortunate events and aftermath,
It looks like there will be a Bridge Edition ahead of the Base Edition.
Your wait time is approximately...........?

From your previous posts, it looks like you submitted your order in Dec 23, which is the same as me. I was also give the same timeline for delivery, which seems to be a stock response from Lotus. No VIN yet for me either. If I don't here anything by the middle of next month, I'll check in with my dealer.

Anyone have the ability to see if CARB paperwork has been submitted for the V6 Auto yet? I’m still at the mercy of Lotus’ official communications and I know that this forum is usually months ahead of that.

You’d see the EPA approval first — but not really possible to see when it was submitted.

Ordered from Secor Auto (Connecticut), was sorta early in the V2 Queue.

Got a VIN and car is supposed to hit the US next week, delivery 2nd or 3rd week of April supposedly.

If that helps anyone estimate CARB states

I think they are the same for EPA. If you look at the history the Evora just had one certification (application, certification, and summary) for each year even though they made automatics as well. CARB I think takes some other criteria into account.

Atlantic Sea just docked at Newark
Atlantic Sun set out from Liverpool yesterday. First stop Halifax.
🤞🙏🙏🙏
Are we thinking that the cars of everyone who received an "on the water" notification over the weekend arrived via the Atlantic Sea?

yes... its the ship that best aligned with the timeline to Baltimore (if it was still open).
Question is where they will unload... New York or Norfolk.

The NYC offload is likely actually Newark. The "Port of New York & New Jersey" has most of their auto facility on the NJ side. Newark has the big RoRo terminal:

Here's the layout from the Port of NY website, you can see the tip of Manhattan on the upper right for context:

More detail on the specific services at the port for auto offload:

[edit] I thought they still used the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal for some of this stuff but it's apparently no longer used for some reason. Logistics from there by ground are probably harder?
[edit] Oh wow, they've repurposed it to become an offshore wind logistics/staging terminal for building massive offshore wind farms. That's crazy. https://www.empirewind.com/2024/02/01/south-brooklyn-marine-terminal-design-approval/

It's at the container depot now... I assume it will move over to the NJ auto side once ready.

Great we will have dripings from sandwiches & Pizza sauce all over the interior now. Lol

I lived in NY so I can say this, joking too but maybe not.
Well we don't know if they're offloading Emiras there or not. All a guessing game until the manifests hit the public records databases. They might miss their deli sandwich date and keep sailing!

Looking at satellite maps... NY/NJ looks more geared to Auto dispatching than Norfolk. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Like you said... it's all guesswork at this moment.

All of these RoRo terminals have very similar capabilities. Sometimes a manufacturer will build out a special port process with their own facility if they have enough volume (BMW, VW, etc), but it's not common for a small manufacturer like Lotus.
