Anyone tried the newer GR86 or BRZ? Considering for a little, fun car for twistys.

GR86 or the MX5 would be high on my list. But probably the MX5, I am not sure if it is acceptable for a 50 year old to drive a GR86.Anyone tried the newer GR86 or BRZ? Considering for a little, fun car for twistys.
Picked this up recently. Wasn’t in the market and patiently waiting for the Emira, but it really caught my eye and was a good deal. I keep telling myself it’s an “investment“: View attachment 36058View attachment 36059
I tried a BRZ - it was ok. For the price its great, but if your used to higher powered cars it's noticeable. I think you would be bored of it quickly. Just get an Emira lol.Anyone tried the newer GR86 or BRZ? Considering for a little, fun car for twistys.
Yes I have a 2023 BRZ limited. It’s not my Evora GT nor the Cayman GTS nor will it be the Emira but it’s a great car for what it is. I love it and will be tracking in the spring.GR86 or the MX5 would be high on my list. But probably the MX5, I am not sure if it is acceptable for a 50 year old to drive a GR86.
Don’t agree on the age part. It’s definitely acceptable.GR86 or the MX5 would be high on my list. But probably the MX5, I am not sure if it is acceptable for a 50 year old to drive a GR86.
I sat in one at the dealership a couple years back, could barely fit in, knees against steering wheel.Go on, get an Elise. You know you want to!
Now they are over 25 years old I think you can import an S1 to the US.
Thought about that. Figured I could take a BRZ and add a s/c kit, or maybe add a small turbo to a Miata. But, it's a slippery slope. Would love to try an Evora GT sometime. Want something sub 3k pounds that has great handling.I tried a BRZ - it was ok. For the price its great, but if your used to higher powered cars it's noticeable. MC20's have dropped big. GT3's are great. The only downside is they are pretty common (911's in general). If non manual is what you are going for MC20 is a good option. I still think Mclaren is the better option and in the MC20 price ranges.I sat in one at the dealership a couple years back, could barely fit in, knees against steering wheel.

Still planning on getting a refreshed model CT5V Blackwing manual for my big power cruiser when they launch this Spring, maybe trade the M3 towards it. Either that or go all in and spend too much on a 991.2 GT3 or MC20 that are now selling for $190k with less than 1k miles and loaded.
McLaren just has me leary of potential issues, and I don't know if I fit. Sat in an MC20 last year and was just right, felt great, didn't get to drive though.MC20's have dropped big. GT3's are great. It’s a series 2 with the 4.2 liter. Restored but very original. Scary how comfortable it is. Really absorbs the bumps but fun in the curves as well.Whoa! Beautiful E-Type!! Which engine does it have? Got any more specs to share?
My favorite car. Drove one years agoIt’s a series 2 with the 4.2 liter. Restored but very original. Scary how comfortable it is. Really absorbs the bumps but fun in the curves as well.
a Maserati probably isn't the best in term of potential issues... and a 720S spider > MC20 all day anyway. Fairly reliable and I hear they have decent extended warranties from factory. Something to look into.McLaren just has me leary of potential issues, and I don't know if I fit. Sat in an MC20 last year and was just right, felt great, didn't get to drive though.
Even a Cayman is rare where I live My M3 is the only non base model 3 series around for 50 miles, and most of them are old that I do see.
I have 23 GR86. Its a fun 'peppy' car but not very powerful. Great to drive on curvy roads etc.Anyone tried the newer GR86 or BRZ? Considering for a little, fun car for twistys.
Don't understand the ND2, what does that stand for, and what is the difference for a 2024 model?2020 ND2 Miat. It gets the job done.
ND is the current body style since 2015. The ND2 added horsepower. The ND3 adds automatic braking to the inner rear wheel in a turn to help with cornering and body roll.Don't understand the ND2, what does that stand for, and what is the difference for a 2024 model?
