What did you do to your Emira today?

@netsinah check these posts out. I had good experience with this company:

Appreciate the advice. Not sure if I want to tackle this myself, plus if possible I’d like the striped 2-color webbing which I can’t buy from seatbeltplanet.com. I’ve ordered the black/red 2-color webbing from AliExpress (Can$31 delivered for 8 metres) and I’ll try to find a local shop to do the install.

Ive done it completely myself. With regards to China products.. youd be surprised whats not made in China.. all the ‘oem’ belts are made in China so there is for me no trust issues… (im not chinese btw but they do an awesome job). The belts are top quality.. intested to pull my lotus with my vw truck and nothing happened to the belt 💪🏼 so im sure it can hold a 75kg-100kg person in case there is an accident.

Did the whole thing myself, lotus wouldnt do it and told me the warranty would void.. on what? So be it.. everybody modifies their car. Lotus just missed a huge income stream and now all 3rd party vendors are making the money on their behalf.

It took me 3 days, first day was removal (took a few hours), next day change (which was the easiest part) and 3rd day installation.

It looks 100x better now and matches the stitches and callipers etc.

re: Chinese products I don’t assume they are trash but you just don’t know if it the same as OEM. I am guessing this is not rocket science and they are, but again hard to verify. That said yes, nearly everything is made in China. Thus the QC is so important!

Well. I did the KitKat thing. I know he's got a more extensive write up coming.

I might start looking to replace some bits with matte carbon where I can, really can't stand gloss piano black trims. So smudgey

Dont think there is any matte carbon parts available for the area… all stick on which looks sh*t. But if you find something let me know… would like matte carbon interior trim aswel.. especially that area around the gear and would also like a matte carbon instrument culuster area

Oh for sure. I know for auto there are some parts. But probably because Chinese market activities.

Fortunately...I know a place. Might see what I can do to take them parts for their ideas on mold making. Same people make the SSC Tuatara body and tub.

If we get enough people interested it's always possible.

Keep me posted. Id be interested if not too expensive

2 week update with GRP sleeves and 12mm spacers.

Originally, I added the 12mm spacers and GRP sleeves primarily for aesthetics, but I’ve noticed several other benefits along the way:

1. Improved Stability: The car feels more planted, especially on straightaways. There’s a noticeable sense of control and balance at higher speeds.

2. Reduced Front Lift: During hard acceleration, there’s much less front-end lift, which keeps the car steady and enhances overall confidence in handling.

3. Maintained Comfort: Despite the changes, ride comfort remains on par with the stock Sports suspension—I don’t feel like I compromised.

4. Clears Speed Bumps , but I do have to approach driveways at an angle just like a proper super car.

Aerie is making me these in matte carbon. I'm sure they'll be offered soon.
Jogon already makes for the auto.

But as best I can tell it gets rid of the start/stop button cover (no space to swap the gear/spring etc bottom side). May be a plus for some folks. Also does not join the brushed metal trim with screws, but rather with double sided tape.

We may be talking about other things. I'm taking about the shifter boot/gaiter delete. Finishing the tunnel with matte carbon instead of PET-CF.

The only interior parts I've seen from others are appliques held on with double sided tape and there's no way I'm willing to just tape covers over panels. It's either going to be a cohesive look with replacement parts or it'll be stock. Aerie is committed to replacement parts.

Aerie is already making the gater replacement with Carbon? Cool I guess but ?? That's pretty fast considering we only knew that was possible for like a week to 10 days

I've been working with them for a few months on it. There's also some other parts coming.

Looks great! Any tips on removing all the interior panels to get to the seatbelts?

Tbh that was the hardest part. I have followed the manual step by step but if you taks your time its doable.

Hi,
You can PM me so we can talk by phone as I can guide you with this. Believe it or not, I did it without removing any of the interior panels, except for the actual pop out rear cover where the seat belt mechanism is located and the seat side plastic trim piece. I can also give you some tips on the best way to get them re-webbed.
