What's everyone's placeholder given this long wait??

Well, I thought I found my placeholder, then I looked at the weight rating and realized I would have to shed 11 kgs......:(

Love it!

The EVTOL landscape is advancing quickly, although I too would struggle to get under that max passenger weight 🤣

Something like this would be better suited perhaps... Just need to make a few million first...

Vertical Aerospace VX4

Question for you car nuts on here. I’ve got a bit of an itch to scratch until my order comes due; probably 2 years. I’m thinking a used Vantage or Ftype maybe even R?

V12 Vantage, never had or driven one but would be my choice if I had 2 years to wait.

Agree. F-type never really did it for me. I realize this may cause a visceral reaction, but a 911 is a fantastic ride and t.he residual will hold up well if you plan on trading/selling when the Emira arrives.

I’m looking at a V8 Vantage S. Or the F-Type R. Both are quick, both are older, both are 1/3 of the Emira cost. I’m thinking the Aston will have better residual if not actually hold right where it is. The Jag is faster, louder, and better optioned. 1st world problems 🤓

Just picked up A Lucid Air Touring. 384 miles range (EPA) on the 20" wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport EV staggered tires 245/40/20 front on 20x8.5, 265/40/20 rear on 20x9.5, 620HP, 885 ft/lb torque, Dual Motor, AWD, 0-60 3.1 (Motor Trend), 380mm six-piston front brakes, 375mm 4-piston rear brakes. S-class size interior but 2" shorter than a Model S. Selling the Cadillac ELR; keeping the Tesla Model 3 Performance. Waiting for the Osmium Silver Emira (No black pack, no privacy glass/black leather/silver brakes/DC Wheels).

Beautiful!! One of the best sedans one can buy

If we all liked the same thing it sure would be a boring world.

I imagine the Lucid is an amazing ride and a blast when you hit the gas pedal.

I am considering adding a JCW mini to the mix. 2024 is the last year for a manual and I have fond memories of owning one years ago (10+ years ago). Alway thought of it as a younger guys car / hot hatch. However, it's dawning on me that it maybe one of the cars that I miss the most, even after all these years.

Last manual JCW - what do you all think? Young man's hot hatch or classic fun mini that an older guy can drive around in .... ?

Not as repulsive as the Lucid but no where near as handsome as a Cavalier, ;) I bought this 2005 Cooper S 6-speed new and put 130k miles on it before I sold it. Make sure you have a good independent shop if it's out of warranty! Tons of fun to drive and a great litmus test in Newport Beach. If they dug the mini - they were usually ok! :) Like the Lotus, a great heritage and an active enthusiast community...

P.S. The vines on the sidewall hadn't been planted yet and the kid grew out of the basketball hoop...

Does that plate say that on purpose, or is that a happy coincidence? lol

I loved my modified R56. Not sure about the F56 platform. Looks are debatable but they seem larger and heavier. But probably fun enough!

The new JCW is basically a ready to run rally car. Super fun. I mean it’s a $45k USD Mini but come on, why not.

As for me, I think an older Vantage V8 S will probably do the trick. Couple years of fun and it’ll make a great down payment on the Emira.

I don't see how you could be disappointed with a Vantage in the garage. Gorgeous vehicle.
